The property we’re at this week has an indoor pizza oven
Spending the weekend at a Galentine’s knitting retreat with folks from across the country. I highly recommend going to one if you can! www.lauraallyson.com/events
This combo is so good!

Update post-muslin: Cut out this #closetcorepatterns Elodie dress on Saturday*, wore it to get married on Tuesday.
*Okay I did sew a muslin last week.
Fabric from #blackbirdfabrics, photo is from Symphony Center in Chicago (we went to see the CSO post ceremony)
The ire I feel at spending so much time learning and ensuring my final garment is better than it would be otherwise 😂
Being good and making a muslin of the #closetcore #elodiedress
As promised, I've started migrating indie pattern designers and fabric stores to a second starter pack to free up a little space for more sewists in my original starter pack!

Close up of woman in teal / ochre / purple-brown plaid shirt in glasses with similar plaid coloring and an unusual bubble shape
Also gotta do a close up of these almost matching @laeyeworks.bsky.social glasses from Visionary Eye Care in Chicago 💗🕶️

Channeling the flannel in a matching set of Closet Core patterns I sewed awhile ago. Cielo top (short sleeve version, no mods) and Fiore Skirt, view b (baby’s first button band… don’t look too close)

There are so many good patterns, go for it!
These aren’t but I definitely have some secret pants in my queue!
Thank you! All their yellows are great. I’ve used goldenrod and I have another yellow from them queued up!
Barista chic in a new 🪡 FO: the Apron Dress from The Assembly Line in a Hunter Green brushed bull denim from Blackbird Fabrics. (Shirt is Esby Apparel, not me-made)
Could definitely see making one in a linen for summer!

I haven’t yet had the pleasure of knitting with reg merino and mohair from K4O yet, so not sure! I’ve only tried heavy merino and previously, their silk
Thank you! Also, I like Belle & Sebastian enough that I went on their cruise in 2019 🛥️
Thank you! I am so sad that BT retired their solid shelter colors (including these two), but I know that weathered shelter is their bread and butter
Thanks! I will say this dress is a great choice if you’re looking to knit while binge watching seasons of television 🤣

This is my first time working with their wool (I’ve used their silk) and I love it!
They’re the Chaiogoo minis (mine are full 5” tips, just the tiniest needle size)
Loose knitter stuff: I am overly excited to have an interchangeable needle set that spans from US 000 - 1.5
It’s looking so good!
For #wipwednesday, here’s my Lumme sweater in Knitting for Olive Heavy Merino 🧶
White readheaded woman in drab green quilted-looking jumper with multicolor trim
First sewing 🧵 FO of the year - a Merchant and Mills Sidney jumper in MM Cotton Jacquard, with MM Tropics ribbing. Nothing flashy but it’s quite warm and I wanted something quick after not sewing for months.

So fun!
Nice! You just flip it inside out and do your favorite short row method to swap direction. Close it up on the next round and you’re good! (Just remember you did this if you’re doing a half twisted rib for the bottom of the sweater!)
Nice! I found it a pretty quick knit (in part because theres a way to switch to knitting it inside out instead purling the body once you finish the yoke pattern), and I love mine.
Thanks! LBA does a bunch of colors well, but I find their yellow shades particularly amazing and varied
