Wow I've not seen numbers like that yet. Just singles in different places.

More finds from Aberffraw dunes with @angleseyfloragroup.bsky.social
Less colourful but just as interesting - Carex arenaria, Mibora minima and Crassula tilea

Some of the wildflowers seen today on the @angleseyfloragroup.bsky.social field trip to Aberffraw dunes

Ring Ouzel - Hen Borth, Cemlyn, Anglesey 13/04/26. An excellent find by John Dyda. Got there within 30 minutes and the bird showed well at times over the next hour or so. A 2nd bird, plus a Redstart reported from The Range. Only a handful of records of both species each year on Anglesey. #ukbirding
First #Swallow of the year feeding over my garden just now.
7 days later than last year.

Possible #Leafhopper evading a photo good enough for ID 🤦
This tiny little thing was so small I thought it was a moth egg until it started moving.

I had to take some cuttings to try to grow some at home
Found on this week's survey with @angleseyfloragroup.bsky.social
Absolutely stunning Purple Willow 😍
#Wildflowerhour
What makes it even worse is that it's one of the 4 plants I knew as a child & practically the only 4 plants I knew until 2013 when I started to take an interest in botany
😬
Thanks Jo.
I now know that if I'm ever in doubt about a plant it's definitely going to be Shepherds Purse 🤦
Yep, it is isn't it. I've been caught out by this individual twice before.
Shepherd's Purse it is. Thanks for your help Dave. Should have got both of those 🤦
Thanks Dave we did consider Bristly Oxtongue, but the plant looked too broad. We already had that on the survey, so I guess I'm going to have to sacrifice adding an additional species & consider it a duplicate.
Basal rosette id ???
Brassica & Hawkweed are as far as I dare
Can anyone get any further?

Beautiful photo
Cut-leaved Dead Nettle, Lamium hybridum apparently highly nutritious with antibacterial and anti inflammatory properties.
Will try it in a salad next week.

I didn't think it'd be long before these chaps made an appearance in the garden - Field Horsetail
With high silica content it benefits skin, hair, nails & connective tissues.

Don't forget Cerrig Cottages and the big discount I can offer if you visit #Anglesey again
Wonderful thanks Dave
Good point Sue
Great, get the records submitted asap. We're currently working on getting a county Flora published next year so all new records are much appreciated.
Thanks Dave, at least I know I can verify your records without needing to think about their accuracy 😀
Next Anglesey Flora Group meeting Monday 23 March 10am
Exploring a monad with only 8 records. So hopefully we'll be able to add quite a few new species to the list.
Message me for further details if you'd like to join us on Monday.

The day I've been waiting for finally arrived, first #Butterfly sighting of the year.
Small Tortoiseshell enjoying the sunshine.

I'm now thinking Little Owl
Six pellets discovered just now in our Barn Owl box.
Not sure on id as they vary so much in size and shape that I keep getting confused even with the Ed Drewitt book for guidance.
Grateful if anyone can help with id.
