I was there. That was the pyro blast going off, not thunder/lightning. They are required to halt game/performances at the stadium for 30 min if there is lightning nearby so thank gawd it wasn't lightning. It was still awesome

My cats refuse to eat cold or reheated cat food, so open cans with snap-on lids always sit on the counter for part of the day.

My solution:
Chick waterer base. Water and a drop of dish soap in. Pyrex ramekin lid over the center. Open cat food can(s) stacked on that. ✅

Start of initial attempt at sculptural weaving a guineafowl head. I think it is heading for scrap-and-start over, but the process is kind of addictive (and mind-bending, thinking about shape in a completely new way, and hard on the hands)

Last night, in an unprecedented turn, a smoke detector did its actual job instead of false alarm hallucinating.

Everything's fine, though my house still smells a little like a campfire. If that alarm hadn't woken me up, I might be without a house, cats, and/or a life.
