This week I'm supporting Multiple Sclerosis Awareness Week. MS is unpredictable and affects everyone differently.

The theme is challenging MS assumptions and the impact these misconceptions can have.

Living with MS is tough. No two days are the same, and many symptoms are invisible.

Designers. There’s no excuse for accessibility as an afterthought Something Familiar’s creative director discusses the importance of challenging industry assumptions.

“If you have #access to it, consult with people with #LivedExperience ..If you're not working with people who experience #accessibility barriers firsthand, you’re missing a vital voice.”: buff.ly/hniACoj

My bad Shannon, I need to realise most of the audience on here isn't UK based. I shall endeavour to do better ma'am! 🤣👍🏼

Received my PIP renewal through the post today, 1 week earlier than expected (well done DWP!) and they've extended it for 6, YES 6, years!! 😲

MS has some staying power that's fo sho!! 🎉😂👊🏼

Muy bien ! I lived in the Canaries a couple of decades ago and picked up a little bit, mostly forgotten now though!

I don't understand the decision of bleaching everything? 🤔

Also, cleaning is schoolyard stuff, cleaning your own house is so basic! 🤬

Well done you, nailed it! In caregiving and travelling by oneself! 🎉👊🏼😂

Again, I'm in Shannon's boat.

I can't live in mess, I MUST have an exit strategy should I try and do any type of DIY, which includes tidying up after myself!

Holy smokes! That's quite the addition, or subtraction, to your kitchen. What's now going in the hole in your ceiling?

I'm in the same boat as Shannon, I can't bring myself to hit the like symbol, soz! 🤦🏻‍♂️

I need my immune system reconstituted! Any folk on here with #MS who have any insights/experience on either #Cladribine (Mavenclad) or #Alemtuzumab (Lemtrada) that you'd be willing to share with me (and any one else who sees it in here!) 😁

It all sucks!
Good news I haven't had a stroke though. Even though my Neuro and a Dr told me that on Tuesday!🤦🏻‍♂️🤬
Hope you've had a better day than me 😀

DON'T DO THIS

When relapsing hard, with huge head pain for 11 days, go the Emergency Dept as per direction from 111 service, to rule out a stroke by CT scan.

We just walked out 5hrs later with a box of Codeine.

Couldn't have said it better Chiara. Just need to get through this current relapse and hopefully onwards! 😀

Hey, UK

6 days ago 0 0 0 0

My #MS has now powered through 2 high efficacy, trusted DMTs, Natalizumab (Tysabri) and ofatumumab (Kesimpta).

Only next step is stem cell transplant according to my Neuro yesterday. Luckily I've got an appt next month. See of I can persuade them to deliver CAR-T instead 👍🏼

Even my Neuro said 'Pseudo' is the wrong term, it's basically suggesting you're lying. I think he needs to speak with the MS Nurses and update their vocab to patients. I'll leave some feedback fo sho!! 😂🤬

Had a last min appointment with my Neuro this afternoon. I'm relapsing, another urgent MRI ordered. FUUUUCCCKKKKK SSSAAAKKKEEE!!!! 🤬🤬🤬🤬😩

It's shit. Just need an MRI to prove either way, pseudo or not 🤷🏼‍♂️

There's nothing quite like living in a void and having to self diagnose!

Thanks Sam. It's not better today sadly 😔

Dr's, Neurology and our lovely NHS 111 non-emergency line all involved so far. May as well get 'em all involved 🤦🏻‍♂️

The NHS is fucked over here, but I'm still grateful for its fuckedness. I see and hear about your system and I'm a little more grateful for my fucked NHS! 😂 I just have to be patient, which I'm really not, ever.

It's bullshit. An MRI is the only way to prove or not what is going on. I have another head, thoracic and cervical incoming .. I just needed it yesterday! 😩

After 22 years of living with #MS I just heard from my MS Nurse that I'm more than likely going through a #pseudo-relapse. WTAF is that about?!?! There are no stressors in my life to make that a reality! 🤬🤦🏻‍♂️🤷🏼‍♂️

Thanks Shannon, it's shit! 🤬
How are you getting on in AZ with your caring responsibilities?

This is sage advice, I shall be following your advice, but with coffee and I will make the cake first! 😂
