I’ve had this top done for awhile now. But I am finally getting a back put on. Just doing some basic straight line quilting for it.

This is actually my dining area window. But that is a computer monitor you see there. I have a matching curtain for the living room window as the house has an open floor plan in this area.
The sheers came with the old curtains we had up. And I liked how it looked with these too. So they got left.
Finally got both sets of patchwork curtains finished. I love how they turned out. #quiltsky #MenWhoQuilt
My second nephew is due anytime now and I finally completed the baby quilt for him. I love how this blue and grey tumble patchwork turned out. Straight line quilted in navy to add a pop of contrast.

Love the color choices here!
I finally decided that I wanted a wall hanging to put up and I love how this Carpenter’s Star pattern turned out!

Thank you. My current machine is a brother. But I like the features and size of the baby lock so I took the leap.
Now I want biscuits and sausage gravy! 😋

I’m definitely excited today I was able to push the order button on a new sewing machine. Now I just have to patiently wait a week for it to get here. And I feel like I got a great deal from Sewing Parts Online. #quilting #QuiltSky #MenWhoQuilt #BabyLock
It come on a roll and was only 4.5 inches wide. But it’s great for this project! #quilting #quiltsky #MenWhoQuilt
Today under my needle window seal logs. I’ve noticed some cold air coming in at the bottoms of my window this winter. So I decided to make some logs to place in the window. I’ve gotten a couple of them down and they seem to be working! I wasn’t sure what to do with this flower print fabric because
My new iron came in sooner then expected! It’s a CHI mini iron and so far so good. I’m happy with it. #quiltsky #quilting #MenWhoQuilt
I use clips more then pins. As for ironing it just depends on what I am working on. I have done both a log cabin pattern and a strained glass window pattern and with those I have found it best to iron as I go.
I’m the same I definitely find ironing optional depending on what I am working on.
5 inch fabric squares in different plaid patterns. Top left blue and white. Top right orange, blue, yellow and green. Bottom left orange, brown and yellow. Bottom right yellow, orange, green and brown
Now to decide new curtains or a new quilt top out of these squares? I’m thinking curtains for my craft room but I’m not sure. #quiltsky #quilting #MenWhoQuilt
No one ever tells you how much cutting and ironing going into making a quilt and I have to say I honestly hate cutting fabric. As for ironing let’s just say I’m a rebel and sometimes it happens and sometimes it does not. #quiltsky #quilting #MenWhoQuilt
I completed this one back in 2021. Lots of growth since then. But I also thinks it’s important to remember where we started!
Those colors are great!
Quilts around here and as my great grandmother always said “it was made to be used”. Happy quilting everyone! #quilting #quiltsky #MenWhoQuilt
I think this was the second quilt I had made. Even as a fifth generation quilter and learning lots from my grandmothers and mother. I still turn to YouTube a lot as I am a visual learner. This is your reminder that it doesn’t matter how you start as long as you start. You will find not perfect
You’ve got this!
I’m loving the color palette here!
A sinus infection was not on my January bingo card. But here we are. Hopefully I’ll hear from the doctor tomorrow and get myself more on the mend.
For me it honestly depends on how big the crowd is or who all I know in the crowd. But I can definitely relate to this gif.
Needing advice on a new mini iron. I was sitting here today and noticed the one I have was acting as though it was heating even though it’s set to 0 (it’s off position). This is the first I’m noticing of this and the iron is several years old and on the cheaper side. It has been unplugged
I am bad about second guessing my color choices sometimes but I’m loving how this came together with the palette and fabric choice.
