I used to be good at remembering things,
for example where I put the sunrise or
how much the fog costs (28€), but lately,
I am searching the whole place for
the simplest words like
"cat" or "cheese slicer".
I have even looked into the fridge - twice.

i used to be good at remembering things with all these warm bodies moving in and out of my room why does it feel empty thoughts that used to give me comfort are foreign not even the words on the page are familiar someone's been inside my head rearranging things there's a new sky window but the light that's supposed to help me see things more clearly only leaves me feeling exposed
