Had to cut my session shorter today to get home in time for dropping my kids off. Note to self: leave earlier from home. Didn't feel as strong today, have started a new supp blend of creatine, test boosters and protein. New protein doesn't taste as good which socks and test boosters taste like ass
Christmas done, ate too much, so forced myself to the gym for a 5am Boxing Day session. Only a short one, a handful of compound lifts, but felt it was important mentally to keep some routine

Workout from the 23/12/24, increased sets and weight, lower reps. Getting into that strength and hypertrophy zone
I find it very therapeutic, and once you figure out how to do it properly and neatly it's an easy way to feel like Santa
Another gym update for nobody but myself, really. I missed two 5am sessions this week with dad duty so made up with a Saturday night session after the kids were down. Smashed out some PB's for hammy curl and dumbbell bench. Feeling good, feeling committed

Why can't we do it the easy way just once
Workout for today 20/12/24. Note the weights are excluding bar weight (20kg) because I'm stupid and like to make it easy to remember how much to load up. Hit a new PB for the Deadlift (100kg) and made some improvements across the board.

I'm building a secret project in the backyard for my kids (4 & 2) Christmas this year. I wonder when they figured out it's a play house
Agree there's things out of his control, but there's also things he CAN control like periodisation, recovery strategy and importantly, rotation. It's the last one that looks to have gone a bit awry for me. We have landed where our best players are now gassed because they've been used constantly
Agree but, isn't it his job to have the squad fit and firing?
So I've only hit 1/3 workouts this week due to being away on a work trip, will make one up Saturday morning, maybe make it twice as long to atone
I want to get to the point where I go to the gym on holiday
So my current goals:
- get stronger
- increase muscle mass
- maybe look better
So I've taken on a 10-week lifting program to start me off as a general strength builder, 3 days a week, mostly gross, compound movement. Two weeks complete and I already feel obsessed with finishing it
