I feel like I need a friendly indie dev discord to hang out in that's like, not so active that I feel swamped if I'm not on top of joining in with discussions but also has life to it, people hanging out in voice chats etc 🫠

Example on how Thingies work on RPG In A Box
Basically you enable a thingy setting for an object, whenever it can behave like a vehicle, could be pushed or whatever, and then adjust further settings for said functionality. I've provided screenshot example so you can see how it works. Absolutely no scripts need to be made, just pick your option
And this is just the beginning! Still lots more in store for the THINGY system, including many more brand new thingies and improvements to existing thingies! THINGIES take fun and easy game making to a whole new level! 😄

For my game's terrain, I've long mulled over how to combine the epicness of grand mountains with the "what's around the corner?" intrigue of smaller cliffs and hills.
After a lot of fiddling over the past two days, I think I may be onto something.

Shirtless NPC living in a shack with just a basic bed
First NPC done for the village, The village is co-shared by rich merchants and such and also poor commoners. Could make for interesting questlines in the game.

New features coming to RPG In A Box, my game engine of choice
It wasn't anything specific, I just felt like I wanted to make something with dungeon crawling and so on after watching the gameplay. The game will probably not feature as deep RPG mechanics. But it will include new features from the upcoming update to the game engine, see picture
I know I keep switching projects constantly without much getting finished. I blame my Asperger brain...
Screenshot of a Zelda-inspired RPG game
Remember this project? After watching a video about Wizardry, I got interest to work on a RPG project and why not continue what I have started.

Level design for a game project
So I hit a level design roadblock for the cellar project so I shifted gears to other game idea I've had for the meantime. I love this old DOS game called Dreamweb, so I decided to make a game inspired by it. Here's an apartment for the main character.

I think I should make it 15 seconds instead to not make it too OP powerup item...
So I made this last time I developed this project but forgot to showcase it. You can now find wine bottles which make you drunk and increase your attack stat for 30 seconds. Good for more powerful enemies or if you just want to one-tap weaker ones.

Worked on my cellar project again. Did some UI stuff, made the levels darker (Because it's a cellar) and created first healing item too. Polishing before creating more content. Can't wait for RPG In A Box 1.4 update too, some cool stuff in there!

Sorry, didn't see your comment until now. I'm using a game engine called RPG In A Box which has built-in voxel editor
New bigger cave level with multiple rooms

Re-designed character models to be more Ultima-like, and redid the first cave level due to losing the map after renaming the bat enemy to goblin. Gotta be careful

Decided to return to my Ultima-inspired project, redid the starting area and made a cave map.

Inspired by Pekka Kana (Pekka The Rooster) by any chance? An old DOS game series
My first game was released exactly 2 years ago, so I wrote a little postmortem onto the itch page.
