Generally they don’t, it’s highly dependent on experience of founder and stage

Most don’t care-they want a final deliverable, on time and within budget, and then…next!

It’s imperative to you as the service provider of informing them of your process, timeline, expectations for feedback, etc

Yep, this sounds about right…

At first I didn’t understand this as a graduate student….and then I became a Professor and PI….so true…

Now I work with startups where it’s all about speed, velocity, deliverables and milestones…

There’s quite a bit of research that supports that the more successful ventures have a strong technical cofounder and a cofounder (technical or not) who can lead on the non-product aspects (fundraising, sales, etc) of the biz. Deep industry insight/experience is also critical somewhere on the team
