We’ve never found more than two types of morels together. Their seasons are short and don’t have lots of overlap. Today was the exception. We found yellows (pictured), morchellas and half frees all in one morning. It’s a first for me! #morel #fungifriends #mushrooms

With three large, scalloped-edged white petals, the flower sits above bright green leaves. A Mayapple stands behind.

Trillium and Mayapples covered large sections of the forest floor. Together with the Dutchman’s Breeches, Trout Lilies, and Shooting Stars they were putting on a spectacular display.

Me too. So much water all at once. Stay safe and be ready to leave if necessary. I’m nervous about what we’ll find at camp when we can finally get back in. I worry about full time residents in harm’s way.
