Trumpeter 1/32 EE Lightning, cut and shut with 5mm added to the fuselage to correct the flaw in the original kit.
A black and white photo of a bald eagle just taking wing near the top of a bare tree.
Saw this handsome fellow on my arrival to work. #birds
I think it works really well, my impression on seeing a half torn down house is that it would be quite jarring - suddenly stuff on the inside is kind of on the outside, where it shouldn't be, so I think there would definitely be strong colours, and not blended shades ππ
ππ yep, I find it harder to get hold of supplies than kits. I really should build the stash, maybe next year π
Sideview of the Academy 1/72 Roman warship. So much sanding, I'm surprised there's any plastic left...
Added some dotted treenails along the beams, it's subtle but adds to the illusion of a wooden construction
That plume-like ornament on the tail is apparently called an aplustre, typical to Roman and Greek ships. Both a symbol of power and a sort of trophy when taken from a defeated enemy, plucking their feathers, as it were... Had some trouble getting it to look wooden.
The ancient Roman warship just evolved into a rowboat. That's most of the woodwork done.
Busy times ahead unfortunately, so it may be on hold for a while. Then it's on to masts, sails (stripes or giant penguin pirate) and 26 π« colourful shields

Love the colours, top notch work ππ

π Ha, yeah, I'll last 6 days more like! πππ»
ππ just between you and me, I don't get ruffled about the "it's not a tank" thing π I put it on the same shelf as the two-spaces-after-a-full-stop thing ππ
I have banned myself from buying any more for 6 months! πππ»
Definitely Mark! π weβll pencil it in for the future ππ
ππ donβt mention Achilles, youβll have the tank destroyer crowd up in arms! ππ but yes it has filled a hole in my life ππ
ππ Iβll try to make it through on extra-thin fumes πππ»

Yeah, I canβt work it out ππ Iβve seen independents close down, but these guys are going strong (which is great) I think they benefit from the popularity of slot racing here. But the shops have a full range: cars, bikes, armour, aircraft, ships, and all the paint and supplies π
It is a very cute penguin ππ lovely work π
Hot rods π₯
Let me know if you are visiting Mark ππ
Exterior view of a Tamiya shop in a shopping mall. There is a Tamiya slot racing track outside the shop, just visible in the corner of the view.
Two boxed plastic scale model kits , an M5 tank and an M10 tank destroyer.
Back in Bangkok and I found the third Tamiya shop in Silom. Got the M10 IIC that Iβve been after. Bumped up the bill with the M5A1 to join the Tamiya club. Broke my budget. Iβll be on Ritz crackers and any rainwater I can collect until the end of the month π
Yep, first time Iβve seen it, seems so clearly better ππ
Very smart Adam, I like that! π
Definitely a good way to make βtank type wheelsββ¦nice one AFV Clubβ¦ππ
Brilliant Twai, super detail, love it ππ
A tiny Tornado in german marine livery next to a Vallejo paint bottle
Top view of Tiny Tornado. I went a bit overboard with the shading but I had to try out my new airbrush. I kind of like the bit stylized βvideo gameβ look. Maybe not realistic but interesting looking xP
View from the other side
Belly. I decided to leave it as is without much weathering
Calling Tiny Tornado 2 done!
Had a bit of trouble at the end but overall turned out to be a nice little plane (if you donβt look too closely π)

I think there are three official stores: The Mall in Bang Kapi, one in Silom, and this one in RCA Alley, Phra Ram IX. But that Honda Dax sounds βofficialβ, Iβll have to check it out. Iβve not been up to Zeer Rangsit, but Iβve got it in my maps app now, cheers Albert ππ Might hit the Silom shop tmrw.
A boxed plastic scale model kit of a Royal Navy Sea Harrier from Tamiya.
Yep, two storeys, pretty much everything covered ππ couldnβt leave empty handed so got the 1:48 Sea Harrier for 11 quid - fairly basic kit though maybe π
Lovely work Badger, beautiful paint job ππ
