A drawing of a row of brains.
It's Brain Awareness Week, a good time to find out more about how changes during adolescence to the teenage brain can drive conflict - & what families can do to understand what young people are experiencing as well as how to emotionally regulate.

🧠Your brain uses chemicals to help control how you feel. Boost them by getting enough sleep, staying active, eating well, spending time with friends, and taking breaks when stressed. Small daily habits can make a big difference to your mood and wellbeing. #BrainAwarenessWeek

Conversations like these help remind everyone just how important a good night’s sleep really is for our minds & wellbeing 😴

When you are grieving, occasions like Mother's Day with their big build-up in the shops and in the media, can be a painful reminder of your loss, and how much you are missing the person who has died.
Visit childbereavementuk.org/mothers-day for some ideas to help you manage.

For World Book Day 📚 The Lighthouse, The Haven & The Harbour explored The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. We chose this story for its themes of belonging, kindness and growth. Our doors reflected the story, helping bring these messages to life across our community. #WorldBookDay
In our spaces we support pupils in understanding that emotions are a natural part of life. By recognising feelings, talking about them, and using coping techniques such as breathing, reflection, or reaching out for support, young people can move through difficult emotions.
Looking to learn ways to deal with common problems like anxiety, low self-confidence, poor sleep and panic?
Then book on to the Step on Stress programme. It's free and open to anyone aged over 16 living or working in Forth Valley.

There’s been a lot in the news lately, and it can feel overwhelming with everything happening at once. It’s okay to step back when you need to. Take breaks, talk with someone you trust, and focus on what’s within your control. Here are a few tips to help manage stress and stay balanced ⬇️
During uncertain times, it's easy for our thoughts to spiral. Mindfulness helps us slow down, and observe our thoughts and emotions. This helps interrupt fearful thought patterns and prevents over thinking 💛🖤
Some Monday Morning Motivation for you all. Your brain loves to soak up what you tell it. Give it some positivity, tell it happy thoughts & give it strength. This can help you get through your day & most importantly help you to smile.
It’s been great hearing all the pupils’ stories from their adventures yesterday. So many moments of excitement, challenge, and fun — proud of them all. 😀
