NASA's Blue Marble picture of Earth, from 1972
It's only worth going back to the Moon if it makes us look properly again at Earth, and appreciate how beautiful, precious and fragile what we have here is. The most famous images from Apollo aren't about the Moon - they're pictures of Earth. We need to stop taking our home for granted.

Green, blue and brown eggs in a nest
Hunting for eggs this weekend? 🥚🐰 Some of the best eggs aren't chocolate! 🍫
Tinamous birds are relatively inconspicuous, but their eggs are egg-ceptional.
Researchers have taken steps to crack the code, 🐦determining that egg colour likely evolved as a mating signal.

Gone fishin'... Super watching this Great Crested Grebe last week at Westhay Moor NNR, Somerset (20.03.26). It caught three while I watched. I got pictures of these two... the other got away (from me! 🙂). #somersetbirding #birds #ukwildlife #naturephotography
A lesser stag beetle, a surprisingly early find, on Horfield Common. They don't usually appear until May.
They need rotting wood, so you can help them by leaving log piles & fallen trees to rot.
