That's the Christmas decorations down for another year. My houseplants seem to have survived being stuffed into all sorts of random places for the last few weeks in order to make way for the random tat I decorated the house with!

I've just started knitting the Westknits Vertices Unite shawl. I'm making it in Christmas colours. I've never had a Christmas shawl before. I just want to have something other than a Christmas sweater this year!

I will never do another afterthought heel. If I see another pattern with one, I shall just do a nice, short row heel as i normally would!
It looks even worse with things in it! I haven't blocked it yet, but normally they are easy to block.
I've knitted a couple of Christmas stockings from these designers before, and this is the only one with these proportions. I think it might be because they used an afterthought heel this time.
My Arne and Carlos 2024 Christmas stocking is now complete. I'm so disappointed with it. The proportions are weird!

A snowy few days in England this week gave me plenty of time for my fibre arts.
I crocheted a draft excluder for my front door to help keep the heat in, I've crocheted a set of festive coasters, and I've nearly finished the jumper for my partner, at long last!
