I found fanfiction in middle school, and to this day, my mom still doesn't understand exactly what that means. 🤣

Yes! Alanna is still one of my favorite rereads. I loved Rowan Hood too! Did you ever read the Bloody Jack books by LA Meyer? That was another great disguised girl series.
Those books were so much fun!
Bruce Coville was my first introduction to the fantasy genre with Into the Land of the Unicorns. I read it in K or 1st grade and it sparked an interest in fantasy stories that would later develop into a deep love for all things magical.
