Yeah, Chelsea school of art - not the squats of Westbourne Grove - that was Johnny

Love Barcelona ... Like a fever dream
Spanish friends keep telling me not to go back because 'it's changed'
I remember, late 80s wandering El Raval, and seeing banners hung over balconies announcing "Vigalia - Robatores"
and think 'Ah yes ... I'm home'
Yeah, I've always got a lot of bandwidth for people on my side of the barricades. A friend in Detroit sent a link to his video podcast. 'Twas like a visit from a bipolar friend. Replied to her with "like Marc E Smith, I might not want to get stuck in a lift with them, but I'm glad they're out there"
Shit! - just googled him. Yeah, get well soon, dear hyperactive child.
Our local band (Mayhem) supported DKs in L'pool in '81. They looked wrung out. Think he talked them to death all day. Still love his voice. Well done, again, for posting this gem, especially as it was only released last week.
Might be the most punk thing to happen since the buttholes stopped making albums. Had a quick look on their website. One of their gig posters was marked 2012. Real mixed variety of experimental-ish music. Think I'm going to enjoy having a good delve there ...

My favourite bit is the graffiti on the bottom left ... where they realised they didn't know how to spell mussolini and just gave up

Desmond Morris died, aged 98. There's never enough anthropology books and TV out there ...
I remembered he had also been a painter

Class band ... introduced me to string bending on guitar. My mate Dave Ellesmere was in them early on and had some great demos.
... strangely enough - Talking Pictures currently showing the film 'Mohawk' (1956) Looks like an Exploited gig, circa '81
I'm an instant fan ... MORE MORE MORE !

This might be the best thing I've seen all year
Used to be a load of abandoned, half sunk boats near Hulme Lock way (80s) I should've been a photographer.
Look more lifelike than the human versions
I just remember all the Granada TV interruptions as a kid. Blamed on the Winter Hill transmitter ... and thinking 'pretty dumb to put a transmitter on a hill called winter' ...

And yes, I was one of those freakaloids who used to watch 'Pot Black' on a portable black and white TV in his bedroom

I live in a London tower Block ... 9 years on and Lambeth council have only just sent us a letter about an evacuation plan.
Part of the reason I left manc was nearly getting hypothermia waiting for buses that never arrived (for the last mile home) - after successfully travelling halfway across Europe. Now live with the guilt (in London) of watching empty buses pass by 24/7, knowing some places only get 1 a week
Is that Lene Lovich ? (showing my age)
Doh! ... been down here too long
Is that the alcove where communism was born ?
Lovely pic. I sometimes forget how beautiful Manchester is.
(Ex Hulmeite living in London as an act of masochism)
Gorgeous ... very Black Sabbath album cover
We had a Jack Russel when I was a kid - named Shatzi (German for treasure) It survived a fight with 4 greyhounds, went blind & deaf, and still kept going. If they were the size of rottweilers, we'd all be in trouble
One of my favourite artists. First saw his work on Antiques Roadshow, of all things

Was forced to a visit an Aunty & her family in Sale, Manc (She insisted it was Cheshire) Always hated it. Not quite 'Abigail's Party', but pretty damn close.
