As the mother of three young men, who have always displayed nurturing qualities, I call bullshit. And I NEVER had maternal instincts before I had my kids. I’m so fucking sick of these stereotypes.

I’ve added 1 extra strength Tylenol (can’t take ibuprofen) to my morning and evening meds every day. Sun night - Tues night I take 2 because the beginning of the work week kicks my ass. That’s just the way it is now.

Here’s April so far. We had a few unseasonably warm days followed by a cold snap that came through yesterday. Over the next 8 days we have a chance of rain in 6 of them. Definitely still Spring here. #2026TP #Knitting 🧶📆🌡️

I’ve stopped holding my breath. It’s not something I can control or influence in any way. Without returning to that perspective, my central nervous system would be toast.

At our previous house, the basement used to flood very easily because of a high water table. So we dug an underground French drain to the middle of the back yard and planted a River Birch next to where it ended. Happy tree, happy house.

Didn’t get completely caught up on the TP today but I did get the weekend rows done, including Carter’s birthday. He chose purple Kidsilk haze. I was worried how it was going to look with the green but I love it! Reminds me of crocus. #2025TP
