I jwore my regular jeans, and paired them with converse because they felt sort of appropriate and I couldn’t find thrifted cowboy boots. This was a fairly challenging make. The work on the biker vest definitely improved my pattern drafting and sewing skills, so time well spent #RockyHorror

For the slingshot necklace, I sketched this out and made a replica from fimo. For the skull keyring, I took the skull off a plastic Halloween skeleton toy and added the keyring with a jump ring. I also had painted a black T-shirt with the word “Eddie” in green. I already owned the scarf #RockyHorror

I bought the hiker vest from Vinted, took it apart, drafted and cut out a new back panel and lapels, and sewed them into the vest. This was difficult, but my sewing machine survived! I then drafted and cut out a felt appliqué design for the back to match the jacket from the film, and added studs.

Went to a rocky horror showing last night, had the best time with my friends and won a prize for my Eddie costume! It’s not often I get up in front of a crowd and do the time warp, but when I do it I do it in style!

Me to my Lazy Kate as I cut small pieces of sellotape and stick them by their edges around her frame in order to wrap presents: Girl, is there anything you can’t do?

Yeah it’s perfect for travel. I did quite a lot of it on various train journeys. Let me know how you get on with yours, when you knit it I’d love to see pictures

It’s an amazing pattern - I love that it’s gaugeless as I sometimes just spin what the fibre is telling me to make and then it’s like “what can I do with this?” 😆

Thankyou so much! It’s been my favourite make of all this year - and I’ve been wearing it everywhere since I finished it - thanks for writing the pattern

I definitely gave in and made some green bean casserole, mashed potatoes and gravy… worst at being British award incoming 😅🧶

Apparently almost all the news on my feed has been replaced by the fact that *checks notes* Americans are consuming a meal today

We’ll ignore the fact that I love green bean casserole, and cornbread dressing 😅🧶

This picture shows garter stitch knitted cowl in progress on the needles. It’s knitted in approximately DK weight handspun yarn and has three colours visible: a deep red, a rich teal and a mustard yellow. The needles are being held in the knitters left hand while the photo is taken and the knitting rests on the knitters jean clothed legs. In the background we can see a bit of a rug and beanbag

Not as much knitting time as I wanted this week but I’m making up for it this morning adding my last colour stripe to this cowl. This is all my own handspun and I can’t wait to wear it!

Swiss darning is a technique if you want the repair to match the structure of the knit, it’s a little fiddly but there’s some great you tube tutorials, and you just need yarn, scissors, a large blunt sewing needle and something to stretch the sweater over - sometimes cans are good. Good luck 😊

Thankyou! I wore them to choir tonight and I’m very happy with it 😊

Great colours - also I was curious where the name came from, good to know!

It’s patched, interfaced on the inside and then there’s a lining patch over the top - I took the photo before I ironed it, it looks very flat now 😂

Oh I feel you! It’s such a struggle - although I do enjoy getting up early sitting with a cup of tea and saying “I’d better darn them trousers before the light goes” like I’m a character in a play 😂

A pre-mended pair of black jeans with rips and frays in the crotch. In the photo we can see small pair of fabric scissors and a cross-stitch embroidered needle case which says “count once stitch twice, count twice stitch once” in different shades of blue

When you own as many black clothes as I do (aging emos die hard 😂) and you live in the UK where there’s currently 9 hours of daylight (and still waning) you sit up in the morning and do your mending #mending 🧶

A pair of socks lie flat on a black and white striped rug. The socks are hand knitted with a ribbed top and a an eye of the partridge texture on the heel, which gives a waffle like texture. The socks are predominantly of white with solid strips of blue, yellow and orange, as well as stripes made of colour blocks of grey red and dark blue

Finished these a week or so ago and forgot to post a picture - this is my standard sock recipe in a self striping 4ply, I just needed another pair of socks for the winter

This picture shows some deep reds garter stitch knitting which has just had some teal contrast rows work in at the edges. The stitches are still live on the needle and the knitter has paused mid row, holding the needles up in one hand. The yarn is hand spun. In the background we can see a white tabletop, a flat white coffee and a some cake with a fork on a small plate

Thankyou! And thankyou for writing the pattern! I have a lot of odd skeins I’ve spun to use up, so I really appreciate the gaugeless design, and all the variations 😊

Why do hate the game so much? The devs are trying so hard. It’s literally early access, be grateful they’re sharing it with us. They can’t just develop 24/7 they have families

POV you ask why a £15 game that’s been out for 2 years doesn’t have a jump button

It’s on the roadmap…
