Drum carder for the first time on Sunday. I can be seen fluffing the fibers and picking out debris.
Soon, it'll be ready for felting or spinning, and it'll be time to clean another batch! 🧶

I'm finally most of the way through this Gulf Coast Native fleece (a whole fleece - that's a lot of wool!) that I dyed with butternut hulls and coffee. I'm looking forward to starting on the knitting-a-sweater (or three) phase of the project.

Latest spin, BFL, Tiger Lily colorway by Greenwood Fiberworks, plied with taupe BFL. 2 ply, 656 yards combined length. First time spinning Greenwood fiber, I enjoyed spinning this. #spinsky #handspinning #moss
Fabric being woven on a four shaft floor loom. The warp is 8/2 cotton, the left half in navy and the right half in cream. The weft is handspun merino wool yarn in shades of blue and green. The repeating overshot pattern is in the shape of a cat's eye with a long skinny pupil.
Sampling some fun overshot patterns with bits and pieces of leftover stash. This weft is some of my first handspun yarn from years ago! I especially like it against the dark blue tabby.
