I had read about tRump’s plans, but I didn’t know how I’d feel about the inauguration until I heard the songs on the radio. Sam Cooke’s A Change Is Gonna Come. It has been a long time coming. My kiddo slept late, and I want things to be different for him. I was grateful to have a safe, messy home.

I’d save my son and cats. But, I can’t think of any belonging that I need. It’s easy for me to imagine letting it burn, while people in LA, in Asheville, in Lahaina did lose all. It’s the same with today’s inauguration. The loss hits different when you’re a target.
