A knitted fabric with puffy vertical baffles. The baffles are separated columns of rust-colored stitches. The overall fabric features horizontal green and blue stripes separated by rust-colored rows. The overall effect is alternating bands of contiguous green or blue squares outlined by rust-colored knitting, the squares being formed by the intersection of rust-colored columns and rust-colored rows.

Here's a Pretty Quick bind off (P-Q) that's both pretty & quick. A hybrid of a tubular cast off and a seamed hem & a quick way to go from *home-made* to *handmade*.

The flu is keeping me from posting knitting content, but I will resume shortly. Meanwhile, hoping for a better day when the ICE melts.

I've started a ticket with support + they are looking into it. If you get a post you don't like, click on the three dots. One of the options is "Less like this." When I press LESS, I get even MORE icky pix. Makes Bluesky unusable for me.I mean, good LORD. Hopefully, support will resolve this.

I keep trying to do so--I hit "less like this" every time something objectionable comes up and then...I get MORE of whatever I said I didn't want. Like way more, like the objectionable stuff populates half my feed. So, something is very sus here with the controls.

What's with all the naked and suggestive? I don't care to see naked anyone and especially not dick pics. The more I click "LESS like this," the MORE dick pics.

A three-panel photo showing double knitting from both sides. Panel 1: mirror-image double knitting with the word "BIG" reversed--this is what would happen in ordinary double knitting with words. Panel 2: the reverse of panel 1, where the word "BIG reads correctly. Panel 3: like panel 1, this is also the reverse of panel 2, but the word "BIG" now reads correctly. Via a label at the bottom of the three panel illustration, the reader is given to understand that the difference between the mirror-image "BIG" and the correctly oriented "BIG" has occurred through a double knitting technique called "uncoupling."

graphic in two parts. The top shows the four-needle double-knitting set-up to be two circular needles with a total of four tips, each tip is numbered. The bottom shows four double-pointed needles (dpn's). Each needle is numbered. The title is "similar names, different set-ups."

Knitters are asking me: Is 4-needle double-knitting related to 4 double-pointed needles?

The answer is no.

An illustrated post shows the difference + what 4-needle double-knitting actually is.

A sock being double knit, which is a black outside layer and a white inside layer, with the stitches arranged alternately on three double-pointed needles. The sock has diamond designs on it in white on the visible black layer, and (because the sock is double knit) the implication is that there are corresponding black designs on the inside white layer.
