Our colleague Fiston Gatera of @ucleye.bsky.social @moorfields.bsky.social took a portable GPU to Rwanda, successfully testing it for data curation with a team at AKIISA. The goal is to enable LMICs to build training data for the world's first globally representative medical AI, Global RETFound.
At the top of the image is a circular headshot of Dr Kelsey Stuart with the NIHR Moorfields Biomedical Research Centre Logo to the left. Below reads the following quote: “It is a privilege to receive this award, and I am very grateful to the NIHR Moorfields BRC for supporting the next stage of my research career. The programme will support my goal of expanding recent advances in glaucoma genomics to populations at greatest risk, with the ultimate aim of ensuring equitable development and deployment of clinical risk stratification tools.” Career Enhancement Programme Awardee, Dr Kelsey Stuart.
Kelsey Stuart is the 3rd awardee of the NIHR Moorfields BRC Career Enhancement Programme!
As a research fellow at @ucleye.bsky.social he’ll use protected time and mentorship to develop his work in glaucoma genomics.
