I'd heard of it but had never seen it before this week. It blended in very well with the Lesser Celandines. Always fun to find a new species. 🧐😄

A stunning blue Turkey tail (Trametes versicolor) found in Lancaster yesterday.

#Wildflowerhour #Storyplant. Butterbur (Petasites hybridus). Huge leaves were used in times prior to refrigeration for wrapping butter. The large pliable leaves were thick enough to protect butter and soak up any seepage. They are also used as umbrellas and sunshades.
