I haven't had it when I knitted more complex brioche in the round, it's only been on this one! Possibly I was pulling it too tight because it was my first time

that sounds like proof that the meds are working
it's a really good starter pattern for two colour brioche, and looks really dramatic if one of your yarns is a gradient
hi kitties!
two pictures of a two colour brioche cowl, ribbing in purple and pale pink. The lines of ribbing are at a diagonal angle
Another day, another cowl, another new technique to me when I knitted it - this was my first attempt at two colour brioche. I still have no idea why it went diagonal! Pattern is Chromatic Cowl by Amy Detjen, the yarn is from Siidegarte. #showMeYourKnits 🧶 #knitsky
it's really snuggly in cold weather!
This is the Niela Cowl, available only via Ravelry as far as I can tell, and it was a great pattern to try out stranded colourwork. The yarns were both from Nerd Girl Yarns - her Come Hither (MCN) fingering in Don't Blink and I Am The Doctor And This Is My Spoon
I love the flare at the bottom, it's great for tucking into the neck of a coat to keep the cold out.
a knitted cowl with a flared base. The background is light grey and it has variegated purple polka dots
Another new technique experiment for me and another cowl for #showMeYourKnits 🧶this was my first attempt at stranded colourwork. No, I won't show you the floats!
and the stickiness that comes from mixing golden syrup with the chocolate!
That sounds gorgeous. So many places do a pretty much solid slab of chocolate, which misses the point!
Ooh I love a bit of tiffin
it's such a simple pattern, and I started knitting it when I was at a convention so I had a lot of time to just knit!
A blue ribbed knitted moebius cowl folded up on a wooden surface
this week's #ShowMeYourKnits 🧶theme is cowls - I knit more than I wear and most of them are opportunities to try out new techniques. This Looped Loop cowl was a chance for me to try out knitting continental style after initially learning English style when I was little.
absolutely this! and depending on how your hands react, a lighter yarn might be easier than a thicker one for the movement of making stitches.
this would be super soft on your fingers and the variegation in the dye would mean it would look interesting when the knitting is boring: www.etsy.com/uk/listing/4...
Happy anniversary!

Nothing encourages me to be tidy and put things away more than living with cats.
Not unrelated, Tilly just tried to groom my new cashmere yarn to the point I was worried about it felting. It is now put out of her reach to dry and will then be put away.
