Hospitalists are generally miserable at making short-term decisions about long-term treatments. You really have to double-check everything.

ADVICE: If you or a loved one are in the hospital, write down everything. Nurse/doc so and so said I had to stop taking (med) for this reason. All up to and including discharge instructions. The first thing they teach you in nursing school is document everything. Same goes other way around.
Oh man
Impressed by the Cave of Covalanas (Spain), which I visited today. These prehistoric paintings seem to tell stories, probably linked to rituals or beliefs. They never lived inside this cave—it was likely a special place used for symbolic purposes.

Can you imagine?
You're driving down a country road.
You see spheres that appear to be moving.
Why? What could it be?
You get closer.
You look.

My cat is very scared of blackbirds as she was chased by one a year ago. I spent 5 mins this AM holding open the cat flap so she could do a risk assessment. Worthy 5 mins. Glad you are doing the antidoomscroll lists. Reminds me to live the same. X
Archaeologists in the Holy Land just uncovered a 3,000-year-old Israelite tablet…
It reads: “Iran is only weeks away from developing a nuclear weapon.”
I always find the survival of glass from antiquity to be amazing, but sometimes you come across quite extraordinary pieces.
This Romano-Germanic glass item is moulded into the form of a little fish or whale and it’s delightful.

However he has reached the age of Jurrasic Park.
An abstract mixed-media painting dominated by shades of bubblegum and magenta pink against a hazy, off-white background. The lower half of the canvas is a dense field of textured pink paint, featuring a central, dark violet "wound-like" shape that appears to drip downward. Thin, dark vertical lines and scribbles punctuate the composition, including a faint horizon line made of blue and black marks. Scattered throughout the piece are translucent rectangular strips resembling calendar clippings or dates. In the upper right, there is a simple, dark sketch of a circular object and a vertical structure, while the artist's signature, "S Finch," is visible in the bottom right corner.

'An East Anglian Landscape.' (c1971) In the early 1950s, Denis Wirth Miller settled in the Essex town of Wivenhoe - he considered the ship-building and fishing town a perfect retreat for his work and began to skillfully capture the austere, beautiful Essex flatlands on canvas.
Really feel like that's a punchline to a 1980s song.
Album appliqué quilt in blues & rose pinks.
My Victoriana Album (2007) is another quilt I made in these colours. 🤩🪡🧵🩷💙
That beautiful blue stripe with roses border fabric, was the main multicoloured print, that inspired all the other fabric choices.
