Movie Poster for the novel, Another Quest, written by Dawn Berkoski. Artwork by Shelley Leiweke Depicted, is a fantasy inspired forest with jewel-toned falling leaves. In the distance, a medieval castle can be seen, and further still, the mountains where Zander, the protagonist of the story, lives. GUESS WHAT TODAY IS #RevPit WRITERS ✨️👀
winners will be announced at 12 PM EST!
Do we know what time Monday we can expect an announcement?
Last night, I was thinking about the LI for my new WIP and got all teary. I considered (for just a sec) not writing the book at all because I don't want to have to kill him in the end. Not sure I can handle that kinda trauma.
Why do we do this to ourselves? LOL!

Do you know when you might be doing another round?
To any of my friends here who also follow me on X… I’m locked out of my account, so any activity currently ISN’T ME!
A movie poster style with two hands meeting in the middle. In the background there is a shadowed figure between trees. It says In Between in red letters.
Greenish background with a foggy cemetery and two hands almost touching in the middle. Title: In Between
It’s not character art, but I played around with creating my own book cover (if I should eventually need it) and movie posters.
Did you do it through NetGalley? I might be going down this path soon.
I, for one, when I get to that point, would be SO DOWN for that type of help in the self-pub market.
I understand. My point is that if there are fewer sales, more agents are going to have to pivot (at least for the time being). Why not tap into the self-published market and help those authors gain more traction? Especially if that segment is growing at such a fast rate compared to trad publishing.
This is why I think agents should start pivoting to book promotion. Same setup, they only take on clients who've queried them and whose books they think they can sell. I think they could really do well with self-published authors who can’t or don’t want to market (hi!).
I think these people are confusing prologues and epilogues with forewords and afterwords.
And I think they skipped a few days of the story structure unit in English 101.
Maybe they don’t like them?
I have one but it’s a ghost romance. I’ve been told it makes readers sob so hard into their pillow, their dogs have to check to see if they’re okay. 😭 🤪
Uh, this is sad. I haven’t found my people unfortunately. My mom is the one I bounce my ideas off of and who reads my drafts. I love that about our relationship but I would LOVE to find a partner who shares in the writing process.
