Thanks! Old layer cake I had in two colorways. Finished the orange one last year.
Quilt top made out of colorful triangles of fabric paired with plain white triangles. The colored fabric is mostly orange, blue, and green patterns.
Just finished this quilt top, so I guess it's #New #BlueSkyArtShow #quilt

I think it fits the theme perfectly - how lovely!
Bumblebee thoraxes need to reach 86Β°F for flight. They do this by vibrating their flight muscles. They can get to 104Β°F while flying.
I love reading. #books
They're also delicious

White gazebo in a park with bare trees seen through a wet car windshield, which distorts the scene and makes the lines wiggle as if painted.
One of my favorite filters is a rainy windshield. Village park gazebo near home.

I've been segment hiking the Ice Age Trail, which runs about 1200 miles across Wisconsin, following the glacial retreat across the state. This segment was mostly a connecting route on road, but the skies delivered!

Meet the Hine's Emerald dragonfly. It is rare. Some bogs in Door County are the best places to find it. Do you support the Hine's Emerald becoming Wisconsin's state insect? This question is for you to answer on the DNR Spring Questionnaire but only from April 13 to 15. Some reasons to support selection of the Hine's Emerald as our state insect: - The Hine's Emerald depends on healthy bogs, which are a cherished feature of Wisconsin's natural landscape. - Like other dragonflies, its nymphys and adults prey upon mosquitoes, etc. - The Hine's Emerald is the only federally endangered dragonfly. - The Hine's Emerald is found only in a handful of states with the most sizeable and significant population in Door County. - Its thorax is prominently marked with Green and Gold!
The Wisconsin Dragonfly Society is leading efforts to install the Hine's Emerald dragonfly as our state insect! Vote in the DNR Spring Questionnaire on this incentive April 13-18. #WDS #dragonfly #WIDragonflySociety #odonate

If it is sunny and above 65 F, we should see them and much more! Bring a lunch and sturdy shoes - waders are not needed. We should be finished by 2 PM. There is no fee. If you plan to join us, please send an email to registration@widragonflysociety.org and mention Sandhill.
Dan Jackson will give a presentation on dragonflies in the headquarters building and then we will drive the gravel loop around the wetlands and woods, stopping at several spots to look for early-season dragonflies and damselflies. Two species of boghaunters will be our primary targets.
