It’s actually a barberry, even though it looks like bamboo. Pretty cool, right? I like the way its leaves change colors over time, from green to burgundy, and its bright red berries. The “heavenly” part of its name may reference the fact that it’s a traditional planting on Asian temple grounds. 😊🙏
