The Buybuyanen/Buybuyense coat of arms is composed of two important elements: At the lower two-thirds of the arms is a kapok/silk cotton tree [derived from the colonial-era coat of arms of Portuguese/Spanish Guinea (courtesy of Heralder) by colleague TheTelugu in the Request Maps/Flags/Coats of Arms/Heraldry thread] over an Azure field, symbolizing not just the provincial etymology ("buybuy" is the Luuk term for kapok/silk cotton tree) but also its importance in every aspect of the province in general, while in the upper one-third is a single sun (courtesy of Henry Salomé) over a Gules fied, symbolizing the fact that the province was the northern part of the pre-colonial kingdom of Tondo-Namayan (see: Mutia nan Katimuran). And finally, a variant of Binulawang Salakot (Golden Salakot)a variant of Binulawang Salakot (Golden Salakot) at the top to confirm that the province is an integrated part of the Kingdom of the Philippines (with its federal-parliamentary form of government).

Composed of a Vert triangle on Argent escutcheon; within the same triangle is a recreation/reconstruction of the arms/emblem as appeared back in the 1880s: Crossed pickaxe and hammer over an oil lamp. The national motto (Libertas Quæ Sera Tamen), meanwhile, has surrounded the same triangle. And finally, the Phrygian cap as the crest.
