“Both votes SNP” helps Westminster’s unionist parties.

Under AMS, a second SNP list vote is wasted.

Wasted votes mean unionist seats.

Even if the SNP do somehow managed a very unlikely single Majority -

𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗥𝗘 𝗪𝗜𝗟𝗟 𝗕𝗘 𝗡𝗢 𝗥𝗘𝗙𝗘𝗥𝗘𝗡𝗗𝗨𝗠

We cannot afford a majority of unionist party seats at Holyrood.

Let’s defeat the politics of hate and despair with the politics of hope.

Honoured to march with the STUC through Glasgow against racism, and for a fair and diverse country that we must remain.

Why, you might ask, do the BBC and Sky News, casting their editorial guidelines to the wind, keep giving massive airtime to the far right, while shutting out leftwing voices? Don't their bosses understand the likely consequences?
Only one explanation now remains.
They do.
And it is what they want.

Beavers are back 🦫

For the first time in over 400 years, wild beavers will return to the northwest Highlands. Today, the Scottish Government gave the green light for six beaver families to be reintroduced to Glen Affric and Abriarchan forest.

A brilliant Lyme Bay pelagic from Brixham on Friday aboard ‘Kellys Hero’. Common Dolphins, Balearic & Manx Shearwaters, Arctic Skuas, Black, Common & Arctic Terns etc but the highlight for us a stunning Caspian Gull which followed the boat for a while #ukbirding

Photo of a small valley between rising hills in a green mountainous landscape, a soft blue loch just poking round the corner in the distance. A person in walking gear trudges along a path. The sky is partly grey and moody, but opening into a cloudy blueness in the distance. Golden sunlight spreads over some of the landscape.

Walked 15 miles from Kinloch Hourn to Inverie, and have a greater understanding of why the Romans never managed to conquer Scotland 😰

So unemployment in Scotland is down while it's risen in the rest of the UK.

Seems like good news for the Scottish economy, so naturally BBC Scotland informs us that the figures can't be trusted - with this astonishing quote: "The Scottish figure could be higher than the UK one, but probably isn't."

Even in an independent Scotland people will vote for different parties and that’s a good thing.

A healthy democracy isn’t about everyone voting for one party, it’s about having the freedom to choose.

Regaining independence is the ultimate goal and we shouldn’t lose sight of that.

A black and white archive photograph of a scarecrow in a field, dressed in a long coat with a top hat

A black and white archive photograph of a scarecrow in a field, dressed in a long coat with a top hat

It's a little known fact that back in the old days in #Orkney, birds were scared away from crops by a dapper gentleman in a top hat calling them bounders and accusing them of rakish behaviour.
