“Both votes SNP” helps Westminster’s unionist parties.
Under AMS, a second SNP list vote is wasted.
Wasted votes mean unionist seats.
Even if the SNP do somehow managed a very unlikely single Majority -

Why, you might ask, do the BBC and Sky News, casting their editorial guidelines to the wind, keep giving massive airtime to the far right, while shutting out leftwing voices? Don't their bosses understand the likely consequences?
Only one explanation now remains.
They do.
And it is what they want.

A brilliant Lyme Bay pelagic from Brixham on Friday aboard ‘Kellys Hero’. Common Dolphins, Balearic & Manx Shearwaters, Arctic Skuas, Black, Common & Arctic Terns etc but the highlight for us a stunning Caspian Gull which followed the boat for a while #ukbirding
Photo of a small valley between rising hills in a green mountainous landscape, a soft blue loch just poking round the corner in the distance. A person in walking gear trudges along a path. The sky is partly grey and moody, but opening into a cloudy blueness in the distance. Golden sunlight spreads over some of the landscape.

So unemployment in Scotland is down while it's risen in the rest of the UK.

This Osprey is so majestic…. 🥰
And in the bird world this is considered a sick move….
A new Half Man Half Biscuit album is always an event. The brand new one (All Asimov And No Fresh Air) has a song on it called McCalliog And His Hens. The explanation on the back sleeve shows just why HMHB are a national treasure. #HMHB
Even in an independent Scotland people will vote for different parties and that’s a good thing.
A healthy democracy isn’t about everyone voting for one party, it’s about having the freedom to choose.
Regaining independence is the ultimate goal and we shouldn’t lose sight of that.
Didn't see the owl this morning. Must be at the #OrkneyFolkFestival. Probably having a hoot.
It was a seal on a rock this morning.
Seal must do the Friday shift. Owl does a Saturday. They probably have a rota. Excited for tomorrow.
I can't wait to see how Anas Sarwar tries to justify Scots having to pay twice as much for their fish suppers!

A black and white archive photograph of a scarecrow in a field, dressed in a long coat with a top hat
It's a little known fact that back in the old days in #Orkney, birds were scared away from crops by a dapper gentleman in a top hat calling them bounders and accusing them of rakish behaviour.
