Depicted is a detailed skull covered in blood, cracked & rotting with its mouth agape bearing the infamous Pickelhaube, which while lacking much of the prominent ornamentation in the design featured here, still retains key features such as the belt & buckle sitting between the rusted spike & brass finished brim with the German Empire cockade to the side. The Pickelhaube was the standard military helmet of the German Empire from its unification in 1871 until being largely phased out within the German Imperial Army from 1916 onwards before being completely discontinued after the end of the First World War. War is Hell.
