A fuzzy little redbreasted nuthach clings to a large suet feeder.
A late entry for #birdoftheday #FeederFriends. These little redbreasted nuthatches keep an eye on me when I'm gardening and will land on my hands while I'm refilling the feeders—and if a big scary bird is nearby, the nuthatches will only brave the feeders if Big Friend (me) is there to keep watch.🥺🪶

As a writer-artist: NEVER. Hell, I even quit an art direction job because I prefer to draw my own ideas.
Last year with my GN thumbs, I leveled up. The images in my head poured onto the page and I've never felt so powerful. AI cannot match the mind's eye of a control freak.

Two panels from the webcomic Into the Smoke. Panel 1: Blaze stands in the kitchen listening to a short, plump, dark-skinned woman wearing a floral wraparound skirt and her black hair done up in two buns. The woman says, “My mom used to throw a fit whenever I swore. She died six months ago. Since then, the lights always flicker when I say…” The final word is too quiet for Blaze to hear.
Panel 2: Blaze leans in close and asks, “Sorry, when you say what?” The woman repeats the word at the same inaudible volume.

Pencil and watercolor illustration of a bullfrog facing the viewer, mostly submerged in water. Only the eyes and top of the head are above water and in full color, the rest of the water floats below in blue.
It's the first day of spring and also World Frog Day and soon it'll be bullfrog time

Banner image featuring a watercolour painting of a European common frog sitting on some leaf litter titled with the auction theme, 'Flora & Fauna,' and watermarked with the Changeling Artist Collective logo.
Sadly, I have nothing in this month's @changelingart.bsky.social auction, despite the theme being obviously up my street. I'm little more than a rotting scarecrow at the moment. 😞 But my frog does make an appearance as the auction banner. 🐸 Please check out the other artists' lovely pieces in it. 🙏💙

A black-and-white drawing on toned paper, showing the Little Mermaid dissolving into foam.
My take on "The Little Mermaid," from ages ago (the moment she throws herself into the sea).
Eh...spoilers, I guess?

The following flavour text written for my by my friend @artbyzvesta.bsky.social
"Sorry what was that sire? The Night Mare? Are you sure that's the horse you want?"
the sounds of some guy with too much money being offended
"No, no! O-of course we t-tame her f-for you-"
Meanwhile:
--
A group of people try in vain to restrain a gigantic six legged horse with ropes. The horse has burning eyes and six siphon-like holes on its neck that appear to be spewing forth the night sky.

These continue to no longer be actually "daily" or actually "sketches", but still keeping them together in the hashtag for easy sorting.
Drawn as part of @jamesbbarrow.bsky.social's Weekly Art Along.

Painting of a bee and a salamander sitting on a log drinking hot beverages in an autumnal setting.
It was always a bit of a tense moment for Jacques, but it just was by far the best hot chocolate you could find.

Gods this is so real.
Realism is a technical still, sure! It shows your understanding of a medium, of light, or the ability to copy a photo. But it's not everything. It's not the ONLY thing.
You can make amazing non-realistic art.
You can make amazing stylized art.
Cute, funky, weird, great art.

Woodcarved scene on a round base. An humanoid octopus wearing a dress is holding a basket with a duck inside of it. On the head of the octopus, a grumpy frog taking shelter of a big ancient book. Next to them all, a sword is coming out of water among bulrush. On the top of it sits a kingfisher.
Glass bell with a woodcarved scene of a humanoid octopus wearing a dress on the surface of a pond. The creature has a kingfisher on its head. It's holding a book wich has a duck sitting on it. On the left of the base looking like water, bulrushes. On the right, a little frog has its head out of water. In the background, indoor plants by a window.
I want to make a third Ancient Wisdom. Someone commission me please.

Drawing in sepia ink of the hadrosaur, Parasaurolophus, laden with pannier baskets filled with Yuletide gifts and decked with seasonal greenery. Two festively costumed human figures accompany the hadrosaur: one in a feathered turban and waist sash carries a wreath, the other, in western European 16th century clothing, wears a sword at the waist and carries a long staff decorated with sprigs of holly.
Another of my original artworks in the @changelingart.bsky.social 'Deck the Halls' auction ending tomorrow, 12pm EST.
An older Holiday Hadrosaur from 2011. Sepia ink on Moleskine sketchbook paper, 209 ×128 mm.

Silhouette drawing primarily in black ink of a stoat in combat with a rooster on a patch of wild grasses. The animals face each other; the stoat, at left, is in motion with its hindquarters off the ground and its head tilted up towards the rooster opposite, who leaps into the air, hackles raised, kicking its feet outwards. The rooster's comb and wattle are the only touch of red gouache.
'Stoat and Rooster'
Ink and gouache on Fabriano Medioevalis, approximately 132 × 85 mm.
This original artwork and two older pieces are in this month's @changelingart.bsky.social auction, ending Friday 14th November, 12pm EST.

We didn't get any trick-or-treaters either. I think it's a combination of the fact that our neighborhood has a lot of steep inclines to be running up and down, and also that we just don't seem to have a lot of neighbor families at that age for it.
