UK+Ireland #Top15 Cinema Box Office 20 Apr 26. The #Top3 remains the same, while #TheSuperMarioGalaxyMovie saw a 55% decline this week, #ProjectHailMary and #TheDrama saw healthy declines of less than 50%. On review, it's a shame that #Hoppers didn't attract a bigger crowd.

#TheSuperMarioGalaxyMovie 3/5. The animation was lovely, and it was great to see #FoxMcCloud on the big screen with #GlenPowell, being his voice was the cherry on top. The script, however, was weak, and moments that should have been emotional were never allowed to develop.

#Scrubs Season 10 #ABC 3/5. A very welcome return for this classic sitcom. Sad to see JD and Elliot broke up in the in-between year, but I think this is just to play out a reconciliation story later. Thought they actually handled the maturing of the classic character quite well.

UK+Ireland #Top15 Cinema Box Office 13 Apr 26. #TheSuperMarioGalaxyMovie did very well to stay at No.1, taking in £5.5Million and for #ProjectHailMary a 2 hour and 40 minute thinking man's sci-fi film to be earning £2.4Million on it's fourth weekend is outstanding.

#TheCapture Series 3 #BBC 3/5. The twist and turns do enough to keep things interesting. But, there were loads of things that were poorly handled, like the clumsy heavy handed metaphor of a woman being gaslight and the downright laughable reason someone was being blackmailed.

#MikeAndNickAndNickAndAlice #Hulu Movie 4/5. Fun original premise for a sci-fi time travel action comedy. Enjoyed #VinceVaughen in his dual roles, especially as #FutureNick trying to make amends for past mistakes. #KeithDavid was a highlight as well in his supporting role.

UK Cinema Box Office February 2026 - Wuthering Heights (2026) unsurprisingly was the biggest hit for the month. I know it was an animated film #GOATMovie was able to reach to No.2 but in all honesty the film wasn't that great so a shame other films didn't get greater attention.

UK+Ireland #Top15 Cinema Box Office 07 Apr 26. While acknowledging the 4 day Easter weekend #TheSuperMarioGalaxyMovie was a big hit earning just slightly under £15Million. #ProjectHailMary still has strong legs with £3.4Million on its 3rd week. #TheDrama did well to open at No.3

UK Cinema Box Office March 2026 - Even with it opening in late March #ProjectHailMary was the biggest film of the month which is a big deal that a 2 and a half hour sci-fi movie that doesn't have action beat family #Pixar animated film #Hoppers.

#TheMagicFarawayTree 3/5. A pleasant British family film, which I think young kids will get more enjoyment out of. Scripted by #SimonFarnaby, you get we a decently constructed story with his humorous jokes. The kids could have been written better. #AndrewGarfield was a joy.

#HowToGetToHeavenFromBelfast #Netflix 4/5. The mystery steadily escalated with each episode that had the confidence to reveal parts of the past that led up to the current chaos. The secret society to help evacuate women was an excellent thread. Good jokes here as well. Fun cast.

UK+Ireland #Top15 Cinema Box Office (30 Mar 26). #ProjectHailMary saw a very respectful decline of around 38% as it enters into week two of release. British family film #TheMagicFarawayTree did quite well opening at No.2 with £2.8Million. Shame #TheyWillKillYou didn't do better.

#TheyWillKillYou 3/5. Good role for #ZazieBeetz to demonstrate her action credentials. You can clearly tell the #QuentinTaratino and anime influences, but for me, none of the influences were used to push the action horror genre. Violence ranged from stylish to blunt. Some laughs.

UK+Ireland #Top15 Cinema Box Office 23 Mar 26. #ProjectHailMary takes No.1 spot with a very healthy £7.4Million but just slightly behind Wuthering Heights' (2026) debut of £7.6Million. Well done to Hindi language Indian film Dhurandhar: The Revenge to open at the No.2 position.

#ProjectHailMary 5/5. A hugely ambitious visually spectacular feel good sci-fi from directors Lord & Miller who, along with #DrewGoddard's script perfectly placed humour in the drama to save the world. There is puppetry work at play to great effect. Terrific design work here.

UK+Ireland #Top15 Cinema Box Office 16 Mar 26. I think #Hoppers is holding nice and firm to No.1 spot. Reminders Of Him debuted at No.2 with £1Million but I feel like it won't be around for long. For a smallish film, I think #HowToMakeAKilling didn't do too bad to reach No.3.

#HowToMakeAKilling 5/5. A perfectly paced and plotted film with the charismatic #GlenPowell as the illegitimate member of a wealthy family who has now decided to make his way through the clan to obtain a fortune. Very fun watch, but I would have said it needed a few bigger jokes.

UK+Ireland #Top15 Cinema Box Office 09 Mar 26. Interesting tale with #Hoppers as it officially debuted at No.1 with £4.7Million, the film had advance screenings last week. Regardless, this #Pixar film debuted stronger that #Elio's £971K but nowhere near #InsideOut2's £11Million.

#TheLincolnLawyer Season 4 #Netflix 3/5. Certainly an interesting story of having #MickyHaller incarcerated and on trial for his life. Found the first few repetitive of how to get out of prison on bail, but the show did progress to an entertaining watch to a satisfactory end.

#WarMachine (2026) #Netflix Film 3/5. #AlanRitchson stars in his
#Predator style action movie and he's up against a #MetalGearRex type threat. Richson was able to carry the film on his shoulders and the story went at a good pace with some nice sequences. Cheesy at times as well.

UK+Ireland #Top15 Cinema Box Office 03 Mar 26. Seems to me that #Scream7, a 15 certificate horror film, did really well to earn £3.8Million with its No.1 debut. #TheSecretAgent (2026), a Brazilian film, while not earning loads, has still done a decent job to stay in the #Top10.

#LordOfTheFlies (2026) #BBC 4/5. To me this kind of tale is more scarey than a horror. Tense watch as you are expecting the worse to happen to these young scared boys. Effectively captures the real danger there is of boys turning ferral without responsible adult supervision.

#HisAndHers #Netflix 4/5. Very tantalising murder mystery thriller mixed with marriage drama. Loved the dynamic of reporter #TessaThompson covering the investigation that her estranged husband #JonBernthal. Entertaining ploy until the very end when there was one last revelation.

#Hoppers 3/5. A rather well paced sci-fi film from #Pixar and when it went for the big jokes they were brilliant. I very much enjoyed Mabel was a lead female protagonist who was allowed to have anger issues and learn from her outbursts. The supporting cast lacked development.

Netflix drops Warner Bros bid, clearing way for Paramount takeover Netflix's decision to back down from the bidding war clears the path for Paramount to win the takeover battle.

We've swapped one bad news for another. Never believed that #Netflix was going to support the theatrical release of #WarnerBros films. But the owners of #Paramount are hard right wingers who want to control the media. This will mean massive layoffs and negative impact.

Have you considered giving James the nickname JimBro as on the PliotTV podcast (sorry to mention it) James admitted that he works out at home while watching TV.
