Ary nandritra izay 40 taona naha mpitarika mpikaroka azy izay dia niarakaniasa tamin’ny mpikaroka malagasy sy iraisam-pirenena izy ary mpanoro hevitra ireo mpitari-dalana momba ny valan-javaboary sy mpianatry ny oniversite, izay maro amin'izy ireo no lasamatihanina amin'ny fiarovana.
Tamin'ny 1984, nihaona tamin'ny Dr. Patricia Wright sy ireo mpikaroka dimy hafa izay nitarika ny fahitana karazana lemur vaovao roa: ny Varibolomena (1986) sy ny “Varibolo mavo" (1987). Manana fahaizana manokana amin'ny zava-maniry, hazo ary tontoloiainana i Loret.
__
Loret no anisan’ny mpitarika fikarohana voalohany tao amin’ny Valan-javaboarin’i Ranomafanahatramin’ny nananganana azy, ary efa nipetraka tao amin’io faritra io talohan’ny nanangananany valan-javaboary.
This critical research eventually contributed to the creation of Ranomafana NP in 1991. Loret had special expertise in native birds, plants, & forest ecology. He supported Malagasy & int'l researchers & mentored park guides & university students, many of whom are now professionals in conservation. 3
In 1984, Loret met Dr. Patricia Wright and the five pioneering researchers, which sparked the research that led to the discovery of two new lemur species: the Greater Bamboo Lemur “Varibolo mena” (1986) and the Golden Bamboo Lemur, "Varibolo mavo” (1987). 2/
#storytelling Loret was among the first research guides at #Ranomafana National Park since its inception, having already lived in the area before the park was established. Since this video was recorded, he passed away. But, he shared the following bio with us...1/
