Hail piled in front of a drainpipe
Update:
Me: man I should probably do some work outside today.
Outside:
Two shawl pins of bloodstone and opal clay, an i-cord knitter with a faux carnelian handle, and a sailor mercury pin brooch
A motley assortment going out this morning! Brooches and pins and knitters, oh my! #knitting #crafts #sailormoon #polymerclay
The first panel shows a crow with the title "How to live a good life". The second panel shows a crow cawing at itself in the mirror with the subheading "Make friends". The next panel says "Explore" and shows a crow looking into a commercial waste bin. The next says "Try new things" with a crow eating something vile. The next one says "Be curious" and shows the crow grabbing a hissing cat's tail". The final frame says "Get a hobby" and shows the crow looking closely at a book of matches.

Panel from What If...? #17 (1990) Sergei Kravinoff aka Kraven The Hunter, stands naked in a room full of spiders that swarm around him or hang from the ceiling. The spiders cover his shame. He looks upset. Kraven: Why am I DOING this?

"Your job is so fun," yes, but did you know I have to single handedly fight no fewer than sixth algorithms every day for the privilege of telling people to not set their beds on fire.
Great news: in England it is #NationalTeaDay Meaning it's time for Pieter van Roestraten, a Dutch painter working in England. And, by a wonderful coincidence, he was born on this day in 1630.
Mosaic made of tens of thousands of flowers nailed to a piece of tempex depicting a portrait of Dutch comedian and show-host Arjan Lubach with famous buidlings from rotterdam in the background. Below is the logo of his show with the titel of this piece made from the same flowers and to the left is the particapation number.
I spend last week making this #flower #mosaic with friends of mine for the Anna Pauwlona Flowerdays. Its a portait of Dutch comedian and show-host @arjenlubach.bsky.social. It's made from tens of thousands of hyacinth's nailed to a slab of tempex.

A tank top with mottled blue-green dye
A closeup of the dye texture
The back of the shirt
Another closeup
Fascinating. So the uneven/thin nature of the rice paste (like the stuff that clearly stuck to the bottom of the stencil mat) meant that the dye struck unevenly as well. I think I love this more than if it had worked properly #dyeing #shibori #crafts
A large white waterfowl with orange feet stands in front of a door. On the door is a cardboard sign secured with tape that reads, "DO NOT LET THE DUCK IN." Adding insult to injury, I think the duck might be a goose.
Whatever you do,
A green porcelain jar with a lid like a chess piece
This one came out pretty good
Starlog magazine was created by Kerry O’Quinn and Norman Jacobs in 1976 with an early focus on Star Trek and Space 1999 until of course Star Wars came along the following year. It was published until 2009.

Cell is currently lagging 6 sales behind my worst-selling shirt of all time which I find quite amusing, but still about 15 hours left to see if that changes! 🪲
This weekend looks a lot like last weekend ( #gnomes, oh so many gnomes), with the addition of #frogs🐸😂
Pokémon - Nap Time
I'll be honest with y'all, I stopped counting how many Pokémon are hidden in this piece. So your guess is as good as mine.
A plate that is sorta rectangular but with rounded corners. It is painted with roses and butterflies.
Should I make free form plates? Could be cool rolling trays etc.
A blue plate with puffy white clouds painted in the center.
Cloudy sky plate. 8inches. Handbuilt stoneware. Just listed. Surly.etsy.com
A five and a half inch (approximately) plate in blue with black crows in flight as a design pattern.
Little bird plate. Approximately 5 3/4 inches. Hand-built stoneware. Surly.etsy.com
The bottom of a mug with a black floral pattern and a stamp that says Handmade by Surly Amy in California USA.
Good looking mug butt.
My mom holding an embroidery of a trilobite wearing a crown of flowers.
My mom - a geologist - gets out the embroidery that I made her every spring. Because trilobites wearing a crown of flowers are a harbinger of springtime.
