I'm so excited to announce that my next Aphrodite book will be released in the US and UK/Europe on: March 30, 2027
(About three months later for Australia)
When Aphrodite Calls: A Journey into Love's Mysteries
This book is based on the year-long, online priestess/ex training I created.

MONDAY HEART MAGICK
I have already lost touch with a couple of people I used to be...
—Joan Didion
This essay speaks to noticing what happens on the way to rearranging ourselves, like stars.

next week, we look to the stars...and ourselves.

Seems like this might be a good time to remind folks I wrote a book on Artemis that came out in 2024...
Often pictured running in the woods, Artemis is a goddess unto Herself. She is wild, and She is the Wild. Through Her, we can learn about tapping back into our wildness...

Next week's essay reflects on death after seeing the Dearly Departed exhibition at the State Library of Queensland.
This is became a tribute to my mom's death-iversary and what I've learned since then.

What blood was this, and what roses? It could have been the rose of union, the blood or murder, or the rose of beauty bare and the blood of some unspeakable sacrifice or birth.
—Annie Dillard
This one is about the moon.

HECATE
This book was one of the most powerful books to write and drop into. Why? Mostly because she's a well-covered deity and she's one of the first I worked with in my own practice. This book felt like a great responsibility.
Hecate comes out in June (US / UK), later in Australia. Pre-order now!
You don't want to hear the story of my life, and anyway I don't want to tell it, I want to listen
to the enormous waterfalls of the sun.
And anyway it's the same old story - a few people just trying, one way or another, to survive.
Mostly, I want to be kind.
---Mary Oliver

about a year ago -- and I'm now at that grad school.
This book was written during a tough personal time back in 2024, and once again, the Greek gods and practices helped to steady me and revive me.
I hope this book can offer you some of this -- and more than I could anticipate.
It should be
Pantheon: The Greeks has been out since 2025, and it is a book I'm very proud of.
While I don't have favorites among the books I've written (what a lie), this book is one of my favorites because of how much work went into it.
One of the chapters is what I submitted for my grad school application
Hiya - here's a peek at my next Aphrodite book cover, and a recap (US / UK dates):
Pantheon: The Greeks - Nov 2025
The Muses - Feb 2026
Hecate - Jun 2026
Athena - Oct 2026
When Aphrodite Calls - 2027
The Dance of Devotion - ?
Zeus - ?
Which ones are calling to you?

MONDAY HEART MAGICK
In the darkness, two shadows, reaching through the hopeless, heavy dusk. Their hands meet, and light spills in a flood like a hundred golden urns pouring out of the sun.
—Madeline Miller
I share a grief story from an unfinished piece for a class. What stories do you have?
In next week's Heart Magick, I'm sharing a piece on grief that I wrote weeks ago for a class. It was going to be an assessment, but then I went in another direction.
I remember my friend, Jim.

“Leave the door open for the unknown, the door into the dark. That’s where the most important things come from, where you yourself came from, and where you will go.”
—Rebecca Solnit
This essay speaks of going back on a promise I made to myself.
And learning to breathe bigger.
