Portraits of AI Across America
Meet the small businesses, startups, and local communities using AI to streamline their workflows, grow their businesses and serve their communities.
Google featured Brian Spiesman’s work on BeeMachine. It was part of a larger story about how AI is used across the US to improve research, teaching and business. Cool innovative work! Check out the Kansas tab for @beemachine.bsky.social

Where are people buying their aerial nets these days? Bioquip used to make soft fine mesh nets and I can only find ones that have the coarse mesh. Insects tend to stick to the coarse mesh. TIA!

Good suggestion for databasing but there needs to be a physical label with the specimen. Trying to find an efficient way to do this for lots of insects collected in the field.

Looking for help on how to efficiently process LOTS of insect field specimens. Currently, we pin insect w/hand written site/date label then ID insect w/hand written label then create new printed labels w/unique ID #. Seems inefficient! Does anyone have a better workflow that they can share? THX!
