At Hatfield Town Council’s Holocaust Memorial Day, former Councillor Linda Mendez marked 25 years since planting the Memorial Tree for the first UK Holocaust Memorial Day in 2001, alongside Councillor Jeanne Wenham. The tree and plaque remain a lasting symbol of remembrance for the community.

An intimate ceremony was held in Hatfield on 27 January to mark Holocaust Memorial Day.
Commemorating 81 years since the liberation of Auschwitz, the event was filled with moving speeches, readings and community reflection.

We were proud to launch The Butterfly Effect on Friday, an art project celebrating local creativity.

We assisted two local knitting groups with their Christmas post box projects (they did all the hard work though!).

Hatfield Town Council notes the news from the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government with regard to the quarry at Ellenbrook.

We are disappointed to report that a safety surface has been vandalised at Tiger Moth Way play area.
As with cases such as this, the cost of these necessary safety repairs will be taken from the town council's maintenance budget, affecting plans to improve facilities elsewhere.

Come along to Roe Hill Community Hub tomorrow, where we’ll be joining in on the VE Day celebrations with music, refreshments (spoiler alert: cake!) and another afternoon of enjoying each others company, along with the The Chatty Cafe Scheme.
We’re open from 10am until 2pm, come drop in for a while!
It was great to see the people of Endymion Road host a VE Day celebration at the weekend, funded in part by our street party grant, made available to residents, community groups and not-for-profit organisations.
We're looking forward to seeing what other streets in the town put together!
The May Fayre returns again to Newgate Street in a couple of weeks, featuring an afternoon of fun with a range of games, rides, tug of war, a dog show, and of course the may pole!
