Edexcel also uses the vocabulary “explanatory” for independent x and “response” for dependent y

Though of course it may not be actually dependent!

In CP1 you specifically have to find the normal to a plane containing 2 given vectors, which you can do as a.n=0 and b.n=0 and solve simultaneously (again assuming a value for one of x,y, z) but doing it from the normals of 2 given planes and finding a common point is a lot more work!

Yes in Further Maths

The direction of the line is perpendicular to both normals, so this would be in FP1 not CP1

And they just have to find any point that lies in both, ie solve the two plane equations simultaneously assuming a specific value for one of x, y, or z

Thanks Kathryn. I tried registering but it doesn't send me a code, maybe my school blocks it.

Has anyone made a list of all the things Kier Starmer has been disappointed by this year? It must be getting on for 50 or 60.
