A lovely Peter Pig 15mm figure from their Collectables range - Sgt Rain #wargaming For use with their AK47 rules
US Parachute Infantry Platoon - except the bazooka team which I forgot to prime - doh! All 15mm Peter Pig #chainofcommand #spreadthelard #wargaming
Second block of buildings are now printed, and laid out on the 6" x4" to get a feel for it all. Painted building in the distance is a proxy for the Van Limburg Stirum School (not yet printed) which give a good idea of distances down the ramp #wargaming #spreadthelard #chainofcommand
So the first block of buildings are all printed, being the block immediately to the west of the bridge and the underpass. Laid out the buildings cover an area 15" x 25" which works for me, although is a little compressed compared to reality. #wargaming #spreadthelard #chainofcommand
1/700 model made for the son of the first officer, one of the 5 that survived.
Hey Ben - I use a real mixture of paints. The base colour is Vallejo buff, the green is AK midtone green, and the brown is Army Painter Boot brown, all blended together with a wash of Army Painter Brown tone.
British Paratrooper platoon well underway, with the bulk painted and in course of having their bases completed. 15m Peter Pig - I can't stress it enough but these are lovely figures to paint. #wargaming #spreadthelard #chainofcommand
The first elements of a slow plan the print and build the Arnhem Bridge perimeter in 15mm #wargaming #spreadthelard #chainofcommand
Inspirational stuff Joe - just wonderful
Its based on this file, but I made quite a few alterations. Let me know if you want my amended file www.thingiverse.com/thing:3928762
Slowly expanding my British support options. The nifty little 6 pdr. As always 15mm - figures are the exquisite Peter Pig British ATG crew, with the gun printed in FDM #wargaming #spreadthelard #chainofcommand
Some Peter Pig para's as I work out palette and process. 15mm and lovely figures to paint. #wargaming #spreadthelard
The armoured cars of 11th Hussars, 7th AD. As always 15mm printed in FDM. Humber Scout Car, Daimler Armoured Car, Staghound, M3 GMC, White Scout Car. #wargaming #spreadthelard #chainofcommand

the giant bottle of Tamiya Cement helps with the photos though ๐
Cheers Joe - them being small means I only have to suggest detail rather than fully render it
Following on from the Firefly VC that I completed over Christmas for the #festivetankchallenge I have now completed the rest of the armour component for 5 RTR. #spreadthelard #wargaming #chainofcommand
It is, although I removed the beret he was wearing and replaced it with a helmet.
yep, the Filthy Fifth.
... and done. 3rd Troop Firefly, B Sqd, 5 RTR, 22nd AB, 7th Armoured Division. As far as possible all my British CoC units are from 7th AD. 1/5 Queens for the infantry, 1 RB for the Motor Rifle platoon, etc
15mm FDM filament
#FestiveTankChallenge2025 #FestiveTankChallenge #spreadthelard
All stuck together, and with base colours applied. Satin varnish next so I can lay down the decals and weather.
All tanks to laager up for the next two days - or is it lager - can never tell the difference
#FestiveTankChallenge2025 #FestiveTankChallenge #yellowhandbag
Parts all printed and cleaned up - FDM filament through a 0.2mm nozzle #FestiveTankChallenge2025
I'll knock up some stowage now, and get things stuck together
a picture of Sherman tank parts created by a 3d printer ahead of it being printed, showing its layout on the print bed
And the printer is whirring ..... hopefully a 15mm Sherman VC Firefly will emerge.
#FestiveTankChallenge2025
I've hollowed out the commanders hatch so I can add a figure later on.
If i print and paint a Firefly in 15mm does that qualify ?
