Would you be eligible through Bill C-3 for Canada? Any Canadian ancestry? We immigrated in 2005. No regrets other than having all our family in the U.S. still.

A scene from the Summit Lookout on Serpents Back trail shows the town of Hope nestled at the base of Qemqemó also known as Mt Ogilvie with Stó:lō the Fraser River. The mountains are tall and covered with evergreens with some snow on top. The river snakes into view with large pebbles banks along all sides.
Such a beautiful community to live in #HopeBC
Been busy beta testing over on Gander. I’m learning a lot. Like this about social media and how BlueSky and #gander are set up: jasonbutterfield.ca/the-gander-p...
Four images, three of abstract paintings and the bottom right is a monochrome photograph featuring a white woman sitting in a chair in an art studio facing forwards
Hilma af Klint (1862–1944) is considered one of the first Western artists to create purely abstract work, producing pioneering, non-representational paintings as early as 1906 #WomensArt #WomensHistoryMonth
A woman in a khaki shirt and shorts stands in a rocky summit. There is a brown pole at the summit with words too small for me to read while typing these notes. Rocky snowy peaks can be seen in the background as far as the eye can see. The sky is blue with faint streaky clouds.
Memories of seeing the world all around from place you were carried by your own two legs. 2008 #MtFrosty #ManningProvincialPark
Elle does it again! Hits the nail on the head. Or removes the placard with a hammer…
Nope! I checked my photos to be sure on the date. At the time we did some quick research on Scat Airlines (I kid you not). They had the second worst safety record at that time. So long train trips for us from then on!
True story: I was working on a contract in Kazakhstan in 2015 and our pilot was smoking!! Totally frightening. After that, we took the train for within country travel.
Anyone will be able to join after it is out of beta! It needs a bit more time in beta. Still lots of 🐞. I predict you will like it when it’s open to all!
March 2007 trip to NZ. A couple stand in front of a hillside with hobbit houses with round doors and sheep. There is a fence and a hedge in the background.
We visited fairly soon after the films and it wasn’t that fancy! Seeing the party tree was great. We also visited filming locations for Rohan and Mordor.
Excellent information for those seeking records for Canadian citizenship based on Canadian birth records.
A mossy trail on the edge of an island is framed by a twisted Madrona tree and firs. Another island can be seen in the distance.
The weather here has been frightful for days - wind like a freight train and rain. So here is an image from 10 years ago at #RuckleProvincialPark on #SaltSpringIsland in #BeautifulBC. Work travel FTW.
That was amazing!

This was fun. Definitely need to brush up on my geography. Oh, and read the directions first.

Exactly. I’m happy to pay high taxes in Canada for the peace of mind I receive in return.
Genetic genealogy is so fascinating! And the advances with mitochondrial DNA are amazing! I hope this encourages others to do mtDNA testing! blog.familytreedna.com/otzi-the-ice...
I can’t imagine what Harini is thinking!
Here’s a beauty from our trip to Brazil! Grateful that @scottdenkers.bsky.social captured these memories for us!
A winter scene of a pond and mountains. A sandy bank is in front and a partially frozen pond with a large rock in the open water to the left. The far shore is lined with a mix of naked deciduous trees and evergreens. The horizon is a large rocky and evergreen tree covered shoulder of a nearby mountain to the left, a two-headed mountain with a snow covered top in the middle and smaller mountains with snow and evergreen trees to the right.
Yesterday at #starretspond in #hopebc Brrrr! Not a 🦮 because too many off-leash dogs at this location. 😢 Islléleqw #Isolillockpeak
Oh, wow! Possum is so soft and warm!!!! We were in NZ when I was an early knitter and I was smart enough to buy enough wool for a sweater and a hat but I didn’t see any possum yarn. I likely would have been intimidated by it anyway as a newbie. Did buy a pair of possum gloves. Toasty!
The video file is too big to upload directly, so here it is on YouTube. In the spirit of Woody Guthrie, we’re keeping this song alive and sending it out from the woods of Massachusetts to the streets of Minneapolis and everywhere that communities are gathering together in solidarity and resistance
Awesome!
@scottdenkers.bsky.social and I gave a presentation this week on our birding trip to the Pantanal in Brazil. Here are two of his amazing photos!
Enjoying myself there! Received my beta invitation about a week ago.
My hubby posted my gateway bird on Valentine’s Day!
Statue of a man with one prosthetic leg running. This is Terry Fox, a Canadian hero who raised awareness and money for cancer care and hopes for a cure. Thunder Bay, Ontario.
Sunset over Lake Superior. An orange sky is above purple hills on the far shore of a partially frozen lake. There is an evergreen tree in the foreground and a snowbank in the lower edge of the image.
A grey sky floats above a stormy Lake Superior with waves approximating breakers at the ocean. Snow lines the beach and the hillside in the lower left. Evergreen trees are at the top of the hill on the left and an evergreen tree-covered point sticks out into the left.
A tall hill rises above a snow-covered frozen bay. A few trees, one evergreen and the others bare branches, are silhouetted against the snow. The sky is grey.
Memories of a recent retiree: February 13-16, 2012 I flew to #thunderbay then drove to #marathon and worked with the Pic River First Nation. Grateful for the opportunity to see so much of Canada as part of my work, even though it often included winter travel. Rental car in a snowstorm, ugh!
As a person who was a young woman living in the vicinity in the Bundy era, this is pure evil on so many levels.
This is so true!!! We immigrated to 🇨🇦 in 2005 (the Harper years) and he wanted to be George Bush and Alberta wants to be Texas! It makes no sense. As a dual 🇺🇸 🇨🇦 citizen and health care professional who’s worked in both countries, Alberta separatists have no idea what they are asking for.
The Canadian flag stands out in a stiff breeze against a clear blue sky. The flag has red vertical stripes on the left and the right and a red maple leaf against a white background in the middle.
Happy Flag Day, 🇨🇦!
