Meaningful #inclusion of disabled people in #research activities helps to ensure resulting findings are useful for informing #healthcare delivery. These practical tips from @universityofleeds.bsky.social researchers explain how to do it: ow.ly/4tjJ50Wp5uj #disability #academicsky #health #impact
And I’d love to see a breakdown by sector. In particular, cough cough, higher education

Hello! I’ve been rubbish on here, so I’ll reintroduce!
I’m a senior lecturer in business psychology, chartered psychologist, and PhD researcher in healthcare staff wellbeing interventions ☀️
Also, I think about pizza at least five times a day.

Self-love is unabashedly making your own birthday cake. And I will mark 33 by eating at least a quarter for breakfast.
A fantastic article. If you’re working in occupational health, any staff wellbeing role, or are interested in sustainable and rounded ways to address and research work wellbeing interventions, this is a must-read: www.tandfonline.com/doi/full/10....

42 seconds - it’s gonna be a good day 😎
I received a gorgeous email from a student while I was on leave, with talk of how asynchronous formats and materials benefitted them. Higher education is largely built in a way that assumes that people have no prevailing health needs, caring responsibilities, full-time work to sustain studies, and the list goes on! I’m so proud to teach distance learning in a way that offers a blend of synchronous and asynchronous teaching, because being truly inclusive involves giving a choice. Higher education as a whole needs to be way more considerate of asynchronous, silent learners. Non-attendance to live lectures does not automatically mean non-engagement, and that bias needs to challenged. A group classroom environment doesn’t work for everyone, and that is okay 💜
A bit of a LinkedIn rant from me. I’ll get on my soapbox all the time about good asynchronous options for higher education students!

I imagine so, as you melt and then whisk into the mascarpone :) here you go! www.nigella.com/recipes/gues...
Excellent pun 👏 the pistachios more soaked into it, so it wasn’t too much of a crunch but I highly recommend the recipe! It’s a Nigella one :)

First full day of work tomorrow, since October. I’m excited to get back to my students and new projects, but I’m going to cling onto the festive break until the morning. So here’s a white chocolate, raspberry and pistachio tiramisu that I made for Christmas Day!

📣 Seeking Panelists for #AOM2025!
👋🏻 Calling all #IOPsych / #WellBeing colleagues! I'm organizing a panel for the AOM conference in Copenhagen, DK (July 25-29), discussing the limitations of 𝙋𝙀𝙍𝙁𝙊𝙍𝙈𝘼𝙉𝘾𝙀 as the "ultimate criterion" and Tay et al.'s (2023) position to expand it to include 𝙒𝙀𝙇𝙇-𝘽𝙀𝙄𝙉𝙂.
I cried before he came on, as he played, and times when I’ve just thought about how this was the best gig of my life and how fortunate I am to have seen my favourite musician of all time.
Absolutely! I also thought it was great that you talked about the tokentistic data collection around wellbeing too and abandoning it, and then those who try to address working conditions have to wade through the cynicism this causes!
It was great! The episode that is, the run was average 😂. I really liked how much you both brought interventions back to context - my research is on realist evaluation of these interventions so I found myself mentally saying ‘Yes!’ at a lot of points ☺️
Nineteen hundred and eighty-five by Paul McCartney and Wings
IRAS amendments submitted, #EAWOP abstract submitted, and I’m back to work on Tuesday after nearly seven weeks off! I’m gonna celebrate this massively by catching up with friends from my last university tomorrow and watching my absolute hero, Paul McCartney, on Sunday 😍
I actually have this lined up for my run today! :)
I took one look and closed it immediately 😂
No system gives me anxiety like IRAS. Not user friendly at all 😫

“Staff at the UK’s national institute for artificial intelligence have warned that its credibility is in ‘serious jeopardy’ and raised doubts over the organisation’s future amid senior departures and a cost-cutting programme.”
I appreciate the efforts to make occupational psychology accessible, but I’m not into creating new terms for issues that already exist.

Thank you sharing, that’s such a lovely tribute! I’m sure she would have loved that conversation too, she was very generous with her wisdom ☺️
It’s a lovely day to walk in the Peaks. 😅
