Absolutely stunning evening on Walney last night for our second gull ringing visit. Vix Franks did an amazing job helping me collect samples - lots of starfish, shrimp, crabs, voles, & earthworms in the regurgitate - clearly exploiting coastal resources! @salforduni.bsky.social

Bird colour rings on a keyring, but one is broken
A disaster has occurred this evening - these #hihi 🐦 colour rings are from my first PhD field season (10 years ago!). They've been a sentimental keyring ever since... Emergency superglue needed 😆
