For all the conspiracy folks, do you see the various competing media outlets running this story. Notice that it's not a Facebook video of some guy rambling nonsense into his phone.

This is what it actually looks like when a government gets caught trying to cover things up regarding public health.

A picture of a rather dilapidated copy of "The picture of Dorian Gray" There is visible water damage to the cover and the plastic cover is yellowing. Obviously, not evident from the picture but there is a truly foul musty smell emanating from it!

Last week, a gentleman returned this rather dilapidated copy of this famous book to us after 50 years. He had found it in his attic!
Presumably this means there is a pristine copy somewhere in our libraries....

I'll try. Revenue - Operations = Operational Surplus. The other big expense category, Capital (Building or replacing infrastructure), still needs to be serviced and that money comes out of what's leftover after the operations are paid for. A surplus can also go into reserves (savings).

Man with long criminal history sentenced to 1-year in jail for sexual assault With credit for time served, Ralph Achla due to be released from custody in 4.5 months.

Repeat violent offenders shouldn't be getting 1 year in prison for sexual assault.

The courts pull shit like this and then act indignant when politicians criticize them.

I'm currently entertaining the notion that the Conservative Party doesn't want to actually win an election and form government. The CPC has instead become a glorified make work program for MPs in safe rural ridings who'd rather get $200K/year to make social media content.

This whole episode was bizarre. It was like the Freedom Convoy's direct to DVD sequel. Lower budget, shittier plot, etc..

The number of chronically online culture war people that suddenly developed strong feelings about ostriches and farming regulations was ridiculous.

I have two dogs that I love dearly, but...

If your approach to living in a society is to claim undue privileges in common areas by exploiting the fact that most people are either too polite, distracted or conflict averse to tell you to knock it off, you fucking suck and you're an asshole.

NASA's Artemis II astronauts celebrate epic lunar flyby with stunning new images On its sixth day, NASA’s Artemis II mission at last delivered what it had promised. Its four astronauts—NASA’s Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, and Christina Koch and the Canadian Space Agency’s Jeremy Hansen—successfully traveled around the moon, returning humans to the lunar vicinity for the first time in more than a half-century. In the process, they became the farthest people yet flown from Earth, experienced an in-space solar eclipse, captured “Earthset” and “Earthrise” images of our planet and saw features of the moon's far side that no one had seen before. After the observations were done, they heard from President Donald Trump—NASA’s Artemis program began under his first term.
