Great result on Saturday, but can anyone tell us how many corners City have taken since we last scored from a corner?

Nature's Fieldbook Notes and photos to help identifications out in the field.

I built a thing for me and thought it might be useful for others. It's a set of guides, 20 at the moment, to help with my rubbish memory when doing ids in the field.

Everything is cached on your device so works in low signal areas.

Government deer strategy unveiled as rising numbers threaten woods and wildlife A new 10-year deer-management strategy for England aims to tackle soaring deer numbers and woodland damage – a move that should benefit ground-nesting birds affected by habitat degradation.

The UK Government has unveiled a 10-year deer management strategy for England, pledging to make culling easier in a bid to address what it describes as an expanding deer population that is damaging woodlands and farmland and impacting ground-nesting birds:

Oh yes, certainly. (Although apparently it covers a tunnel back to the nunnery, but its powers have prevented all attempts to move it).

Situated in “The Grove” across the road from the chapel ruins, apparently in C19 school children who had to walk home from Lyng to Lyng Easthaugh were allowed to leave early on winter afternoons to avoid walking past in the dark!

Born and raised in Lyng, I was told that the ruin to the north of the Lyng to Lyng Easthaugh road is from a nunnery, where the remains of St Edmund were held until the monks of Bury St Edmunds appropriated them. Nearby of course is the “Great Stone of Lyng”..

Clement will definitely make changes, although he’s low on resources with so many injuries. He won’t be complacent and expect to roll WBA over again though, so probably a much closer game this time.

My dad kept ferrets (as did his dad and his grandfather before him). When he moved into the modern world and got electronic trackers for them we used to joke about his radio-controlled ferrets. Happy days - thanks for the post to remind me!

As @michaelrosenyes.bsky.social said 'The story has turned into being about 2 bad boys, Mandy and Andy, and not about an elite group of men creating a den, cut-off from the real world where they could behave as they want - which was about corrupt finance and brutalising women.' #Epstein

Not sure which they serve in the concourses. I’d forgotten about the Lion & Castle - open to away fans as well as home

Obviously we’re really pleased with Clement after the previous sh*t show. He’s getting a tune out of players who were floundering under the previous regime. We’re hoping to continue our cup run 🤞

The food and drink offer in the concourses isn’t great I’m afraid - ordinary at best (pies, sausage rolls etc). I’m in the stand opposite the away stand, only lager on offer here.

Kenny got a six game ban for an incident which wasn’t seen by the match officials during a game. I don’t suppose there will be any follow up for this one though

Happy NY!!! Since 2014 we have pioneered the restoration of overgrown ponds & lost infilled #ghostponds in the UK. Our methods, learnt from a wonderful farmer (Richard Waddingham), are mega successful & lead to massive biodiversity gains for aquatic & terrestrial species. Please support us in 2026 🎉
