I hope one day you get to have a cat. They help keep me sane.

This is despite the light being off and me trying to go to bed (which is hard with bangs and crashes).

It’s 2am here and he’s chasing the 2-year-old tabby around the bedroom. They’ve knocked over their cat tree, and the youngest is being loudly vocal!

ginger tabby who is very intelligent (so not the one brain cell kind) and incredibly adventurous to the point of recklessness (so like a characteristic orange cat). He’s the one in the most recent cat photo I posted. He’s also adorable, laid back and cuddly like a teddy bear.

I have 3 cats. An old black and brown tabby with a heart condition who is a real character but now mostly sleeps and is grumpy from pain. (He’s the kitten in my profile pic.) A lovely, cuddly ginger 2-yr-old tabby who is sweet & normal except he’s the most anxious cat ever. And a 9-month old …

I agree, governments and communities need to do more. Ableism is an uphill battle. I’m so sorry.

Sorry to everyone who was following me for the art I was posting each day. I've been away from social media for personal reasons for several weeks now & pop back rarely. Not yet ready to get back to posting art daily because it draws me in & I get too stressed. But maybe you'll like my chilled cat?

I have done this now, for a few authors and their books, and I will be adding one of yours to my tbr list because of your post. (Probably the first Queens of Fate book, because I want something to replace The Mists of Avalon, as someone else mentioned.) Thank you for this.

@wiswell.bsky.social, wasn't sure what to expect when reading the book, but it wasn't this, & that was a good thing. It was suffused with empathy & compassion, which the world could do with a lot more of now. I loved Shesheshen & Homily, who both felt so real. Can't wait to read Wearing the Lion!

@jenniegauthor.bsky.social, what a wonderfully evocative book. I didn't grow up in Yorkshire (or even the UK), but I felt like I was centred in my own childhood while reading this. I don't normally cry when I read books, but yours did - in a good way.

@tkingfisher.com, I loved Hester! It's so good to see representations of women like her on the page - mature, intelligent, clever, brave, flawed, desired, loved, kind. Thank you. Also, the abuse in the mother-daughter relationship hit close to home. Thank you for also writing that.
