I’d somehow missed your ‘21 atherosclerosis manuscript, so great that you point that out. Will take a look at that over the next few days. Really interested in ways to estimate proliferation response/cumulative replication history in human and mouse HSCs during/after stress.
Not to my knowledge….but would be interesting to know if e.g. prolonged infection/inflammation due to lack of vaccination accelerated development of CHIP….lots of other alternative possibilities obviously.
There are a few papers out there that suggest that some CHIP mutations dampen the deleterious effects of inflammation (e.g. by minimizing inflammation-mediated epigenetic programming), but this is still a pretty open question IMO.
First (to my knowledge) manuscript describing a correlation between number of infections and incidence of clonal hematopoiesis (CHIP). Really important from the perspective of highlighting a possible modifiable driver of CHIP during aging. @isehsociety.bsky.social www.exphem.org/article/S030...
