Thanks a lot for making us aware! Unfortunately me and Noah are a couple years too young, but hopefully in the future as it looks like a brilliant opportunity 👍

Nice to see a pair of Wigeon on patch yesterday (excuse poor photo), after none last year! Also good to see a pair each of Oystercatcher and Redshank, hopefully back for another successful breeding season in the area #birdinguk #spring #birds
Red-flanked Bluetail with @noahbai-123.bsky.social at Crockham Hill in Kent this afternoon, lifer for me! Many thanks to the finder, and all birders on site who helped us obtain great views after a bit of patience, making a perfect end to the weekend! #birds #photography #ukbirding
A nice evening at the Cam Washes this evening, with 10 White-fronted Geese, 2 Redshank, plenty of Wigeon and a surprise of 150 Whooper Swans flying over towards Wicken as we were leaving @cambsbirdclub.bsky.social #birds #ukbirding
A real treat to see the fabulous drake Falcated Duck in Zoetermeer yesterday, on our second attempt. Great variety of other wildfowl present too #birding #photography #netherlands #birds

Quick cycle ride after school to see the drake Ferruginous Duck at Milton CP in fading light. Nice bird to see irrespective of origin. Great found by @jonheath.bsky.social. Also drake Scaup still. @lucasnature.bsky.social @cambsbirdclub.bsky.social
Drake Greater Scaup still present locally at Milton Country Park this afternoon. My best ever views of one, as the wildfowl were pushed close due to the ice #birds #photography #winter @cambsbirdclub.bsky.social
An excellent #patch tick with 2 Greater White-fronted Geese showing well at the Cambridge Research Park this morning. Many thanks to @jonheath.bsky.social for finding. An adult female Goosander also present #birds #PWC2026 #photography @cambsbirdclub.bsky.social
Bittern, 80+ Snow Buntings and the Temminck's Stint were among the highlights on a recent trip to the Suffolk Coast with @david-walsh.bsky.social @noahbai-123.bsky.social @tsbirding.bsky.social @lucasnature.bsky.social and others!
Thoroughly enjoyable day on the snowy Suffolk coast! Highlights were Temminck's Stint, Spotted Redshank, Bittern, Goosander, Zitting Cisticola, and Snow Buntings. Many snowball fights with @noahbai-123.bsky.social throughout the day, too!

This Temminck's Stint should be enjoying tropical Africa at the moment. Instead it's at #RSPB Minsmere, which was coated in a silver layer of snow today!

Some superb sunset Snipes @rspb.bsky.social Minsmere this afternoon - the closer they got, the more their immaculate patterns showed! #birds #photography #ukbirding
Brilliant start to the #patch year list yesterday, with 68 species seen (my initial target was 60!) Highlights included a handsome 1st-winter Caspian Gull, 2 Woodcocks, 2 Little Owls and much more! #birds #newyear #ukbirding
A true #christmas treat with this Hume's Leaf Warbler in Beek, Netherlands. A #lifer for me, so it was great to appreciate the details that define this asian Warbler, in such lovely light. A territorial Firecrest helped to draw out the bird's distinctive call too! #birding #wildlife
I want to say a huge thank you to @spurnbirdobs.bsky.social for choosing my photo (below) to win the #Migfest Moment photo competition, and to Zeiss for providing the winner's award of top-class binoculars, which I have already begun using! #photography #birds #wildlife
Thanks so much for picking my photo to win 🙏 The weekend overall was incredible and I will definitely be returning again next year!

A Robin perches upright on a branch, chest puffed out and beak open mid-song. Its stance and expression convey urgency: a symbol of nature’s voice calling out as the future of England’s planning system hangs in the balance.
Today, the Planning Bill returns to the Lords. And the future of nature in England’s planning system is on the line. 🌳⚠️

Recently completed this monochrome piece of a Red Admiral. Some proportions are a bit off but pleased overall with my first time using biro for a butterfly drawing. #art #butterflies #nature
