My Mum has always told me not to go into water after my dog if I think he’s in trouble. I know dogs mostly swim out, and I know people often don’t, but I’d 100% go in to save him.

Glad you are both ok.

Nearly 1 in 6 UK species are threatened with extinction.

We've lost 97% of our wildflower meadows since the 1930s.

We have 73 million fewer birds than in the 1970s - a decline of almost a third.

And yet some politicians still just see wildlife as a blocker to progress.

Went looking for the recently seen Killdeer at Chapel Amble this afternoon. No luck, but really enjoyed ticking off this Little ringed plover. Thanks to the friendly birder who pointed it out to me, and to the others I chatted with. 🪶

The Big Eight return in April🎱

Of the UK’s 24 bumblebee species, these eight are the most common. This month, some queens will emerge from hibernation. Already active queens will produce their first daughters, the workers💼

Have you spotted your first bumblebee of 2026?
