We love that Neurodiversity Celebration Week coincides with World Social Work Day each year. 💚

A review of public data collection and research that recommends ensuring that data about ‘sex’ is prioritised over data about ‘gender’ or ‘gender identity’ has been criticised in new research The Sullivan Review, which was widely viewed as skewed towards gender-critical biases, has been criticised in a new report that warns that if it is adopted it will "undermine the quality of public institutions’ research, erode academic freedom, and threaten the rights of trans and gender diverse people".
“Streeting’s view that the Sullivan Review ‘will lead to better, more inclusive and fairer outcomes for everyone', is wrong,” @jaytoddgla.bsky.social

New research maps the campaign to erase trans people from UK data 🔢

Evidently travel data doesn’t travel as well as is assumed.
These findings align with my experiences. I am not holding my breath (no pun) for any shift. #LongCOVID is being erased defunded and de problematisation. My clinic closed along with a couple of hundred others. I look forward to feeling better once my LTC no longer exists www.bbc.com/news/article...

LVSJ I hate them too. My ADHD traits became so much harder to manage when things started going open plan. The design of those spaces are always horrible, often the decor is some shade of mushy peas, terrible acoustics and neurotypical and extrovert traits seem to be exacerbated.

Probably too short notice now but I have asked my funder if I can move some of my budget about. Fingers crossed.
That’s great news. I am looking into funding and hope to apply in that case. I attended some hybrid courses last year and they were fine. As someone with a non-visible, energy limiting disability this option will help with my pacing practice.
Looking forward sharing and learning and seeing the sea
Glad that the proposed amendment came to nothing as predicted but still consider it important to challenge these attempts.
Moral Panic not over though. I still consider that it’s important to oppose these kinds of proposals. The GC purification project will continue to mutate and they are good at lobbying.
Please add me.
